Nah, that would suck. This was one of the more boring NBA seasons in a while. It was incredibly predictable. The only wild cards were the high number of injuries to stars and the volatility of the Lakers. The heat being even better next year would definitely from the excitement. I like it when you don't know what team will run shop all season long.

Rik Smits would be a dominant canter in the NBA today.

no he wouldn't
he'd probably average about what he did for his career, or possibly less b/c he'd get fewer shots

How much of window would Paul and Dwight on max contracts even give you now? Dwight will be 28 this season and if I had to bet he will start a decline (definitely in athleticism) over the next few years. Paul will be 29 at the end of this next season and has had knee and ankle issues over the course of his career. I fully expect him to be a smart enough player to adapt his game and be a star for years to come though. If they could've done this two years ago, it would've been a no brainer.
It would be huge for houston, but I would think they'd have to win it all in the next 2 maybe 3 years.

Howard is still gonna cry when he's the third option and Paul and Harden are dominating the ball every game

i'd be more concerned how paul, who HAS to dominate the ball, would work with harden (who showed he's a boss when he dominates the ball and runs the point) and howard (who wants to control the ball from teh post)
it's like people joking about cp3 in miami...that would be a DISASTER

It may not work as well as people think, but it wouldn't be anywhere near a disaster.

They still won't win anything. Paul and Howard are two of the biggest pussies in the league.

lebron or cp3 would get pissed (i'd guess cp3). cp3 can be an insolent, whiney bitch who quits on his team when he's not 100% happy

I agree with you. The rockets don't need CP3, go get howard, hope he's fully healthy and they'll be a force to reckon with.

rockets should go after howard/milsap and keep lin/harden running the point

I suspect they would do lots of winning.

This is all the same stuff I heard during season 1 of the Big 3. Pieces don't fit. They can't make it work.
At first, they made it to the Finals in spite of the pieces not fitting at all. Now by year 3, the offense was, I believe, the best or 2nd best in the NBA, and looked absolutely great, not clunky like in year 1.
A CP3/Harden/Howard team would be fine, and they would be the best team in the West over the next few years.

You bet your arse it's fricked. In fact, it was fricked ovee 20 years ago when Arkansas jumped to the SEC.
The word you're looking for is division, broseph.

Can the Lakers still do a sign and trade with Howard?
If so wtf is Kupchek waiting for?
He should grab picks and some young talent from Houston

Paul wants a black coach. Howard is interested in Houston in part because of McHale. What do you do????

At least Royce White would be able to counsel CP3 when he gets mad and decides to pout in the corner during games. Just make sure you sign Jannero Pargo so he can take over games.
