As if it's his fault we didn't pony up for a big bat in the lineup.

First Sox manager to lead us to consecutive division titles. I'm not sure what they think he did wrong.

Why would Red Sox fans be surprised that they fired the average John Farrell when they fired a member of the uppermost echelon of the profession in Tito.

Granted I don't watch the Sox, but it always seemed like he and ownership didn't get along.

That's the only reason I can see him getting the axe because he was good for them.

Don't remind me about Tito. It hurts my soul to watch what he's done with the Indians

And I keep hearing Girardi could be out if they lose Game 5. I don't get it. These jobs suck.

So does Dombrowski hire Brad Ausmus again?

Farrell wasn't a "Name", but he is a solid baseball guy. Only reason for this move is that Dombrowski is a thin-skinned pussy who wants to hire his own "yes man".

Extremely dumb. He guided a very flawed team to the Al East Title this year. This team didn't have a single .290 hitter, have a single guy with more than 25 Homeruns, only one guy with over 100 RBIs, and a very spotty rotation. He did a hell of a job this year.

I’m a Sox fan and I approve this move.

Farrell isn’t a very good manager imo.

I watch about 150 games a year and Farrell has made countless boneheaded managerial decisions.

Curious to see who we go after first.

As a Cardinals fan, let me just say, I think the perfect candidate for your open manager position is Mike Matheny.

His son is already in the Sox organization. IT JUST MAKES SENSE.

I don't think it's a bad move if they have someone in mind.

If they don't, I'm not enthused. He had a habit of leaving SP in too long, and would sometimes make the wrong sabermetric decision, but almost every manager is flawed to some degree.

TL:DR He's mediocre, but I'm not sure an upgrade is readily available. I've been hearing people throwing out Cora and Gabe Kapler, but I have no idea.
