And then they'd be regarded as the best college team ever. So the team that beat them is hot garbage because if one blown call?

The 02 squad wasn't close to the 01 team, regardless of what idiots were saying.

I think the 2011 Alabama and LSU teams were both top 10 all time. I would put 2001 Miami at 1 and 1995 Nebraska at 2.

I don't think there's really any argument that 95 Nebraska is #1. I love that 01 Miami team but they don't really even compare in my mind. That Nebraska team was on a level of dominance never really seen before or since in the modern era of college football.

I don't know man, they were pretty stacked: Willis McGahee, Frank Gore, Andre Johnson, Kellen Winslow, Jonathan Vilma, Antrell Rolle, Sean Taylor.

Losing McGahee in the nc game was the biggest factor I think.

1990 Colorado doesn't even belong on this list. Frick them.

UT is underrated.

If we weren't just counting champions, top 10 would probably be:

1. 1995 Nebraska
2. 2004 USC
3. 2001 Miami
4. 2005 Texas
5. 1994 PSU
6. 1991 UW
7. 2008 USC
8. 2013 FSU
9. 1993 FSU
10. 2011 Alabama

Those are the teams you'd want to put Vegas money on.

You're gonna leave 08 UF out of that?

Hell I'd take that 08 Oklahoma team over most this list. They were elite.

Tennessee 1998 should be higher. They won the season after losing Peyton to NFL.

The top 3 on the list are solid.

Everything else is debatable, although it's weird that 2012 Bama is ranked as the best Alabama team.

2010 Auburn would beat the shite out of 2013 FSU.

That's all I got.

2005 Texas was the only one who beat another team on the list 2004 USC

That Trojan team pretty much all came back or at least a lot of the key pieces

They lost 3 starters on the D
None on the offense only their backup QB

2009 Texas with a Colt McCoy was better than Bama

If Colt wasn't injured in that Nebraska game that hit by Darius would not have knocked him out and it would have been 14-0 Longhorns early

The first drive stalled because of the lack of QB play by the replacement
Bama fumbled the kick off and UT had the ball around the 35 of Bama

In an alternate universe without the injury Bama would have been blown out IMO

Suh should be a honorary Bama player because without him Bama would not have done what they have done

That proverbial monkey off their back in Texas meant a lot to Bama
Has allowed them to push that team even more

I am in the opinion Texas should schedule Bama again to get their balls back

I'd swap UT w/ USC. Also 2013 FSU deserves more credit. That team was rediciulous.

I don't care how good the rest of the team was, no team quarterbacked by Jordan Jefferson is top 10 all-time

And barely beat an Auburn team that most considered lucky to be there.
They were 2-3 mental mistakes by Auburn, or a not hungover AU kicker away from being completely blown out in that game.

This is where folks are wrong.

2012 was the best IMO(of just the Alabama teams).

ETA: While it was insane, the 2011 defense played some really one dimensional offenses. 2016 defense was better. Much better if you ask me.

If teams simply ran at that defense like hardheaded idiots, they'd have set every record in the books.
