I've never had to do it, but it seems like it would be easier to putt with a metal wood than a bladed wedge.

1 quad, 3 triples, 6 doubles, 6 bogies, 2 pars.

That is quality.

If I ever have a round this bad in my pre-60s lifetime from here on out, I'll take a serious break from the game. This really is one of the most amazing things I've heard in any sport in a long time.

Here's a link to an article on the Golf Channel web site. Amazing enough, there aren't any expletives.

I shot 92-97 last year in the BR Open. I took 10 days off...I haven't been near 90 on any course like that since then.

I haven't played since either. It's been cathartic.

I was mad, because I've hit low 80's out there. But putting it in perspective, that wasn't going to happen last weekend.

Next year, maybe.

This hits home with my point. How does a guy with this kind of game you described pass the test to become a certified PGA professional? Is it just easier than I think?

Well, when did he pass the pat?

I'd bet they change the exemption next year to play in. That's embarrassing to the section. I mean why give assistant of the year that? Hell I won that award on 2007.

Not sure why it matters. Rob Noel is one of the most respected teachers in the state and he can't break an egg.

Not sure why it matters if you can play as long as you can teach.

You don't have to be a great player to be a great teacher. Plus, club pros are so busy with their jobs they have little time to actually play and improve their own game.

Noel and his brother were good at golf at one time. Pretty sure Rob could break 90 still. And I dont think Michael is class A so he doesnt need to pass the PAT until level 3.

He isnt a full time teacher. He is an assistant. Big difference. And he knew he was playing for half a year. LOL

Rob could probably break 90 but he would never go out there. My point is it doesn't matter. Rob can't play much anymore but I don't think there is much disputing that he is a helluva teacher.

It does matter if you are a full time teacher or assistant. He is an assistant. He should be able to break 80.
