Sounds like he just needs to go to Perkins' Family Restaurant and slam one of the waitresses in the bathroom.

Makes me feel good about where my game is at. Of course, if I played from the tips I imagine I'd be around 120.

He must be a "do as I say, not as I do" guy. I still can't believe that someone who actually makes a living at golf is capable of those scores. Amateurs that qualify for the US Open don't shoot over 90.

This is unbelievable to me. I have played the Wichita Open course every Monday after the tournament from the tips and never shot in the 100's. Granted, it's one of the easier courses on the web.com, I just don't see how anyone who call themselves a pro could do this. I would hate to be in his group.

Amateurs that qualify for the us open can flat out PLAY. This cat is a local pga pro and probably won an award for that section that came with an exemption to this event. Probably shots in the 80s on a regular basis and with that type of game plus a more difficult course plus the added pressure = A high high score

I was joking about the 103 in the golf thread.

But he really did shoot a 103!

Makes it kind of special,

No doubt. Didn't mean to suggest they couldn't just because they were amateurs.

This hits home with my point. How does a guy with this kind of game you described pass the test to become a certified PGA professional? Is it just easier than I think?

Yes .. It is pretty easy to pass the PAT. When I was in the business, the day I had my PAT I left my putter in the hotel room on accident. Putted for 36 holes with a wedge and cruised through.

Eta: depending on the course, if you can break 84 or 85 your good to go.
