PGA Tour The 2016 Players Championship Thead May 12-15

Phil Mickelson is currently #1 on Tour in Scoring Average. Phil has never finished #1 in Scoring in his Career. This is probably as surprising as the fact that he has actually won this tournament.
Rory playing well. Struggled here his first few years before he adjusted his strategy to fit the course. Still don't think he can putt well enough to win here.
We finally get to see how Jordan will respond to what happened at Augusta.
Rickie comes in defending and playing well with a bunch of top 10s.
Jason Day is Jason Day.
My pick to win is Sergio. Seems to be in the mix here every year.
Tiger is at home playing soccer with his kids and trying to "get his distance back" as if 290 carry with a driver is too short. He'll probably reinjure himself prior to his return.

El Nino is definitely a HORSE for the course but pretty similar to Phiily Cheesesteak and Mickelson last week at Quail Hollow never quite can close the deal at Sawgrass. Sergio is always one Baba Booey on 17 away from doing his best Scuba Steve impersonation. I like El Nino this week but I'm not quite sure he can win will be a BIG mental huddle for him if he can. I like Rory this week his game has been coming back into form. Outside his front 9 last Thursday morning, he played "better than most" at Quail Hollow. Don't sleep on Matsuyama this week either.
