One thing I learned working a few tournaments for CBS. Most of McCord's one-liners were scripted. Most of Feherty's were definitely spontaneous.

golfing buddy i played with today has played the course twice ... said we have no idea how narrow and difficult the course is unless you've seen it in person ...

I've been before. It's narrow but not terribly narrow. But the course is a bitch. My dad has played it before and he's a 4 or so. Shot 93 and said he played well

my friend's about a 3 ... he played it in november ... did send out a tweet after his round ... 3 words, and the last two were "pete dye" ...

I hate Dye courses.

Crooked Stick is the only one I can somewhat tolerate.

Yep. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid design and great for a tournament. But I'm also overly critical about golf course designs.
