Well that's just ridiculous. What's "greater," shooting 34% (made up number) on shots with two defenders hanging on you, or finding the open player for the corner 3? Seems to me that doing one of those consistently gets you a legitimate star player rep. Doing the other gets you labeled a chucker. Kobe is and always has been a chucker. He's fantastically talented, he works harder on his game than almost anyone, but to argue that he's in the GOAT conversation because he takes more bad shots than most players is the height of stupidity.

Lebron's Decision = Easy route

Kobe willing to let Shaq be traded if Shaq wouldn't grow up so Kobe could be the alpha and CARRY a team = greatness

Kobe is a inefficient ball hog, 1 top 100 PER season.

Ball hog that will be the first and only player in NBA history with 30,000 points, 6,000 rebounds, 6,000 assists

Serious question, will Lebron or KD reach those if they don't get seriously hurt?

Depends on if they're a quitter like Jordan or not. Dunno.

The facts are out on 2003. Sorry. But Kobe over Shaq was the plan. And Kobe was talking of a trade to the CLIPPERS. The CLIPPERS...to be the ALPHA.

Thanks for reinforcing my point.

The equivalent to what Lebron did would be like Kobe forcing his way onto the Spurs to team up with Duncan, Ginobli, and Parker.

He's decision to team with Wade and Bosh (3 of the top 5 NBA players at the time according to...PER) so he could win was about as beta as you can get.

Lebron's a beta. That's the reality and that's why his fans are so defensive about him. Because deep down inside they know it.

So you want him to predict the future? I'm sure many thought T-Mac was a lock for those career numbers at one point...

Kevin Durant is having a better season this year than Kobe Bryant ever had.

Kobe is a bit overrated historically.

If Lebron was drafted by the Lakers with the exact same pick and same year as Kobe, how many rings do you think the Lakers would have won so far?

Zero. He would have crumbled when Shaq was benched in the 4th quarter hack-a-Shaq's with no other superstars or HoFers to bail him out.

Then bolted to San Antonio in 2003
