Cleveland is in the perfect situation financially to not only add the pieces to complement Bron, but they could add a lot of quality youth. They could build the kind of team/culture to see him through retirement.

He's always said he wanted to be the guy to bring a ring to the city, and the Cavs are way better off in terms of finance than they were when he was there. They can do way better now than a Mo Williams, Antoine Jamison and a 40 year old Shaq.

idk, grown adults, men specifically, throwing emotional temper tantrums (over a mans career choice) seems extremely pathetic.

glad most have "moved on" (or realized their idiocy).

All true...except for that whole Dan Gilbert letter thing.

So basically the ideal situation the Cavs have to offer is long term potential but nothing concrete.

I don't think Lebron and you would agree on what an ideal situation for him to go to next year is.

Simply put, say what you want about Gilbert, but he has put the Cavs in a better position to win moving forward with Lebron then Pat Riley did with the Heat moving forward. The Cavs are younger, more athletic, #1 draft pick, plust the Heats next two first rounders (which could both be top 10 if Lebron leaves the Heat), has upwards of 36 million in cap space to add key veterans. When it comes down to it, Lebron re-joining the Cavs makes better sense then joining the Heat.

Yeah, Gilbert really is the model for NBA success. Win 3 #1 picks in 4 years and screw up one of them in a hilariously awful way.

They have a number 1 pick, K-Irving and a shite ton of cap space. Adding him into the equation is pretty fricking concrete. I mean unless you're the type that believes he really needs Melo, Kobe and 1 or 2 other top 5 NBA players to make it an "ideal" situation.

ETA: unless they hire Tyronn Lue, that might be a monkey wrench, but I'd imagine the potential to pick a coach and play with a lot of young talent and bring a ring to your hometown is something he'd consider ideal.

And then he can run back to the owner and say "yessuh, massuh. i sho is sorry for leavin, but now im back and im soooooooo happy to be here. please, oh pretty please won't you sign my check. thank ya, massuh"

The delusion is strong in Cleveland.

The only concrete thing you listed is Irving. Cap space can be misused, and draft picks can miss.

And at this point in his career, Irving isn't really that solid of a 2nd banana for Lebron to depend on either.

Lot of teams could offer a Lebron a player of Irving's caliber as the 2nd best player.

They had the #1 pick last year and fricked that up royally. Irving is the real deal but the last type of player that LeBron wants to be paired with is a guy that is a primary ball handler. And I don't care how much cap space they have.......it's still CLEVELAND.

Not saying I think he is going back to Cleveland but your thought process of "no way he wants to be on a team with another guy who is the primary ball handler" is pretty stupid since he obviously went to Miami and played with a guy named D Wade..

Bron will opt in for one more year in Miami then head to San Antonio after Timmy and Manu retire clearing a bunch of money for Lebron. Parker + Leonard + Lebron + Pop =

It won't happen but it's possible

So basically in your mind, he absolutely needs a team full of all stars and future hall of famers, for the situation to be ideal?

Even though just adding Lebron now, as is, makes them an instant contender (as would most teams in the East) but with a very good chance of adding a lot more talent, given their $$$ available. I already see we disagree, but in my mind this prospect doesn't get much better..... Especially for a hometown kid who is now in the phase of his career where legacy is becoming a more important aspect than money or anything else. If he were to come back to Cleveland and win with what they could potentially acquire, it's gonna make for a very nice story. You can be sure that will be the major selling point from the Cleveland camp.

Yea, kinda like almost every championship winning team over the last 40 years.

Every dynasty since the 70's has featured multiple all-stars and at least 1 or 2 HOF players.

Did this thread already address the part where Pat Riley changed his voice inflection during the news conference to sound like a black basketball player?

I got a laugh out of that.

You still fronting that lie? At least you are consistent in your delusion. It's a damn shame that you can't see that LeBron tried to use a charity to deflect negative opinions away from himself. What's worse is that you believe he gave a damn about that charity. He never mentioned or promoted them before that and he hasn't promoted or mentioned them sense.

And kids or at least men who fawn over athletes like kids and dick-ride/knight for that same athlete relentlessly on random websites are what? Why does it bother you so much that people don't have the same opinion of him that you do? Why are you so insecure? Are you that beta?

I hope LeBron doesn't go back to Cleveland because then my LeBron Cleveland jersey shirt won't have as much comedic value as it does now.

I get comments when I wear around. If he goes back it'll look like I just got it.

Would you call the 2000's Pistons a dynasty?
