Minnesota went super bowl 4 out of 5 years.
Buffalo 4 straight.
Oakland and pittsburgh dominated.
Lots of teams with no realistic chance to beat montana.

The problem is this: The teams that television wants to be good aren't good and the teams that television doesn't care about are better, but television still insists on giving us the same 5-8 teams no matter what.

It's like ESPN and TNT insisting on giving us Knicks/Lakers doubleheaders in the NBA even if they're 30-52.

Convenient to say that, but then how do you explain the Patriots and their almost 2 decades of dominance?

When you look at it, the same teams year in and year out make it to the playoffs.
New England, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Denver.

Joe Montana won three super bowls in roughly a decade... That means 7 teams did beat him. During that time, the Redskins won 3 super bowls and the Giants won 2

Pass interference and automatic first downs are killing the NFL. BORING.

NBA is the exact opposite and I would say most people here dislike the NBA for that very reason. Stars teamed up and the regular season is almost a waste of time for at least three quarters of the league.

I would agree that there are fewer great coaches in today's game than back then.

Practices have been dulled down and I think it shows up during the games. It doesn't matter if these guys are pros or not, they still have to put in the reps and that's hard to do if your not going full speed each play in practice and there is hardly any contact.

CfB and the NfL aren't as appealing to me anymore but I still watch them more than anything else.

Baseball has gotten better the last few years I think. But once football starts up, I don't really keep up with it as much.
