Ohio State is easily deserving of a playoff berth.

Unbalanced schedules and divisions make conference championships a nice tiebreaker, but nothing more.

OSU has the best collection of wins in the country, with victories over 3 top 10 teams, 2 on the road in tough places to play. They only lost one game, which was to a good team on the road.

Penn State and Wisconsin's resumes don't stack up, even with a B1G title win. OSU is in, and it's absolutely deserving.

This. I don't even give a shite which side of the debate you're on folks, just stop starting damn threads about a topic with about 10 threads on the front page.

Tough shite.

We don't need an eye test we have a tournament to decide who the best team in the conference is and Ohio State lost End of story.

I guess it's basketball season because the B1G certainly doesn't have a football tournament.

The conference schedule is a tournament.

Masterag sort of articulated it yesterday in a thread he started. I don't agree with it whatsoever, but I understand it. People have in their heads that the conference championships are each some mini-tourney and that out of conference games are only supposed to be used to compare which P5s get in over the others. If the committee said that is how it works, great. I'd love to see Bama lose 6-3 on Saturday and be out.

OSU and Penn St. are in the same division.

Penn St. would have wins over 2 top 10 teams. Is the difference that great to overcome the head to head advantage Penn St has and the conference championship Penn St has?

Ha, you saw my post yesterday. If Colorado wins, Mich has wins over the Pac 12 champ and B1G champ (one of the potential champs by 39 pts). I think if Wiscy wins, they would jump Michigan, but I bet the Committee would frick PSU and send Mich. Heads would explode. But, maybe they would squelch the outcry by jumping CU on the theory that their QB went down when they were beating Michigan and they are red hot.

Absolutely. Only conference winners should be eligible to make playoffs

So, Va Tech, UF, Wisky, Colorado, OK St could possibly be the 5 narrowed to 4 that you would accept as deserving of being in a playoff of the 4 BEST teams of the college football SEASON?

Yes. Because BEST is decided on the field not with a cockamamie eye test

It seems to me an 11-1 Oh St team would have proven on the field that they are better than a 9-3 UF team with some really bad losses.

Or do those blowout losses to Ark and FSU not matter since they won a shite division and then managed to upset Bama?

You're trolling on the level of, hey I'm gonna get everyone to think I'm really stupid... Ha Ha that'll show them!

That's stupid as hell. What if a team lost two OCC games and another conference game. You'd think a 3 loss team should make it over another team who lost just one game?
