And Michigan State, with a better record, a comparable strength of schedule, a head to head win, and the conference championship was far more deserving than OSU.

I'm not sure why you linked something so obvious.

If by tournament, you mean the whole season, then it looks like PSU was eliminated by Pitt
the conference schedule is a tournament to decide the division winners. Ohio St and Penn State tied for 1st place in the Big10 East. Penn State wins via H2H and gets to play for the Big10 championship

OSU deserves to be in.... if they get on I have zero problem. But if Washington loses should Michigan go ahead of both PSU and Wisky since they beat them both......

Well yes they did. We all knew that.

But this is a topic about the CFB FBS playoffs.

So Wisconsin, with 2 conference losses, including one to Ohio State, would be more worthy because they happened to play in the easier division of the conference?

After Saturday, UW will have played the first, second, and third best teams in the East division...so I wouldn't exactly say an easy schedule or division got us in. We'll have played all the toughest teams in the big ten. (Of course, we also played what was then a top 10 MSU...who later turned out to be crappy, 5th place in the East).

And keep in mind that our two losses were both one possession losses to top 5 teams.

So Michigan, who didn't win their division or the conference, and has fewer wins than Wisconsin, the same amount of losses as Wisconsin (one loss being much worse and both losses occurring in the past 3 weeks), should get in over a conference champ wisconsin because they beat UW in a one possession game in Ann Arbor in September?

Got it.

ETA: I think OSU deserves a spot, but I do not think two non-conference and non-division champions from the same conference deserve a spot. I think the committee will agree. Sorry Michigan.

And conference champ > not conference champ. You lose.

Absolutely. Only conference winners should be eligible to make playoffs

No issue with this statement; however, with 4 spots and 5 Power Conferences, which one gets left out?

Just a little update. Vegas currently has the buckeyes as 30-1 to make the playoffs. No way in hell they are losing that kind of money. Ohio State in.
