Also like Utah. Really good home team that's generally undervalued when it comes to bettors.

I was on Utah that game too... I feel if that shite doesn't happen Utah at least covers. Talk about a play that sucks all the energy out of the players and stadium.

Your research is a little flawed. First off, you're forced to pick 5 every week. If a bettor goes 3-0 in games they actually liked and 0-2 in games they're forced to pick they're 3-2 for the contest but would've been 3-0 if not forced to pick extras.
Secondly, the contest goes off Wednesday's lines. So if there's a large line move between Wednesday and Saturday night a lot of people will play it in the contest even if they don't like the line b/c they're afraid of losing a point to the field.
Third, not everybody in the contest is one of the best cappers on the planet, there's a lot of dead money. Yesterday I was talking to the first guy I've met to sign up this year and he was just some college kid.

Same - it was one of the biggest swings I've ever experienced in a football game.

What about a 3-team, 10-point teaser of Alabama, Ohio State, and Notre Dame? I know taking three big-name teams in a "special teaser" sounds like a total newbie bet, but it's really hard for me to see any of them losing right out of the gate. With the teaser, all three games would be pick'em. So the only way you lose is if at least one of the Tide, Buckeyes, and Irish straight-up lose in week one--which at least would offer its own consolation
