He threw for 2900 yards with 12 TD's and 15 interceptions last year. He was sacked 44 times. I'm not trying to be a dick just pointing out that those numbers in year 2 of his career make him no where near one of the best qbs in college football. Last year @ home against Temple he was 12-26 for 112 yards. He was actually far worse last year than he was as a freshman. Just pointing out facts that it seems you have obviously missed.

New staff and sanctions had nothing to do with this.

I like Penn State this year also

I take back what I said about never having a winning Week 1 - I had a winning Week 1 in 2012 but I have never had a winning Week 1 SATURDAY. I killed it on Thursday/Friday in 2012 Week 1, winning 20 units but on Saturday I lost 12.45 units so it felt like a losing week, especially because Weeks 2, 3, 4, and 5 were also losing weeks for me and didn't turn things around until Week 6.

Had I just stuck to a one unit bet size Week 1 in 2012 would have been glorious

Already missed most of the Baylor value but as long as their 1h is under 21 when it's released I'll play that.

Just bet on nothing but double digit division dogs. You will win.

Never bet on the NFL... its a surefire way to lose money

In 2013 I tracked the LVH Super Contest for NFL... if all the bettors that participated in that contest actually made all 5 bets that week as straight bets, only 15% of them would have turned a profit for the season.

The supposed best NFL handicappers paying the $1,500 entry fee to participate in the Super Contest and only 15% of them hit above 52.7% for the contest? Yeah, betting on the NFL is stupid.

Ken Pomeroy also did a similar study and arrived at the same conclusion:

You have no skill at betting NFL games

In other words, just skip the NFL

Wouldn't fading the public solve that problem then?

I only bet on 7 or 8 NFL games last year. Took home dogs in all of them.

Tulane is going to be really bad.

I know that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with anything, and they were very competitive with Georgia Tech last year in the opener.

However, from talking to a few players, they aren't expecting to keep it too close with Duke.

I think people bet on NFL for entertainment, and grinding college football and other sports for better ROI for the informed bettor (due to less scrutinized lines). The NFL is by far the most wagered-on sport because it the most popular sport, therefore tracking pertinent information is much more paramount to gain value in the NFL betting market (public/pro money, timing your bet to gain the most value, key numbers, etc).

The problem with Supercontests and picking a fixed amount of games a week is that you are forced to make plays you normally wouldn't.

I did well hitting soccer parlays. Decent on CFB, but i went on a super cooler on NFL.

It got so bad, that i would pick the games i liked and tell my buddies to bet the other side. I would text them my picks and tell them to fade my picks. They cleaned up.

I went 3-25 during that stretch. I had some brutal bad beats, but it is what it is. It was ugly, i would nail a nice soccer parlay on Saturday, then give it all back on Sunday. I even let my wife make picks, she was 3-7, so i wasn't disappointed, she gave me the 3 wins.

Out of the 28 bets, 26 of them were lost in 4th Q or late in game. I was being teased and then kicked in the nuts. Worst betting streak ever for NFL.

Probably still a little early for him. I assume he will be coming around when it gets a little closer. I havent even looked at any lines I did hear Vandy opened at -17 and is at -3 now. If I could have got that 17 Not sure how true that was though
