We'll see what he does next year. We can't crown him after one season.

Just think of what he'll do after actually getting a training camp and OTA's with the team.

Beckham has 59 receptions on 69 targets this season.

That is unreal. Way higher than the likes of Brown, Jones, Green, D. Thomas, Nelson, etc.

Not even close. He catches everything.

Why? We are talking about right now. And right now he is arguably the best WR in the NFL

It is unreal because he has 71 receptions on 97 targets. You should always wait until Tuesday to post NFL stats. They are never fully updated until then. By the way, he has two drops (unless he had more today) on 97 targets.

It is not like these other dudes have 20 drops. Sanu and Steve Smith, Sr. lead the league with 9 drops.

Antonio Brown has 4 drops in 149 targets, Maclin has 2 drops in 125 targets, Golden Tate has 1 drop in 121 targets, and Sanders has no drops in 122 targets.

His numbers fall in line with the other premier receivers over a short span, but to call him the best, it is crazy premature and very likely incorrect.

By the way, you could easily make this thread with a half dozen names. Did we already forget about Julio going 10/189/1 and 11/259/1 in weeks 13 and 14?

No, I already said he is in my top three. Him, Brown, and Beckham.

Megatron, Antonio Brown, Julio, Josh Gordon, DT88, Dez, Jordy all disagree with that. And that's just going off the top of my head

Well, Beckham has the stats, skill set, and wow factor to go up against all of those guys. With worse quarterback play than most of them.

there has been a few games where he has really looked good.

against Seattle and against Dallas.

I'm not surprised he's ripped other secondaries like Washington, Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Indianapolis.

Some of those teams just aren't that good on defense... hell... Dallas really isn't but his catch in that game was just pure skill.

and lol at Peej's dumb fricking arse for saying Lynn Swann's catch from the stone age was better than OBJ's catch against Dallas. Get your head out of your arse old man.

OBJ first grabbed my attention when he was making plays in the Seattle game. That game got out of hand but he was putting on a show there in the 1st half.

he's going to be great but I disagree heavily with the idea of him being the best WR in the NFL.

Going into today, Eli had the ninth most attempts and a 62.9% completion percentage. He is throwing more than enough volume to succeed. Eli is having a better season than Dalton. Stafford has not been great this season either. Beckham is far from the only really good receiver without a top QB.

Due to the fact that Bob McAdoo implemented a west coast offense this season, we have seen Eli make higher percentage throws with a shorter amount of time in the pocket. As a result, his percentages have gone up, but his YPA has decreased accordingly. It helps explain the high catch rate on his targets, but of course, it also means that Beckham is damn good.

Even though he has been as good as about any receiver over the past seven games, this is still crazy premature. Josh Gordon did not dethrone Calvin and the like and he had sick stretches. Mike Evans had a disgusting three-game stretch this year.

There is no way you cannot definitively tell that me Calvin, Dez, AJ, Julio, Brown, etc. could not do what Beckham is doing if they were in the same situation. Dude is in a perfect spot to put up numbers even though he has Eli at the helm. He has zero competition for the ball.

One also has a multiple Super Bowl winning QB throwing to him and the other has Josh McCown.

Evans and Beckham are in such different situations that it is stupid to compare. They are very different types of receivers. OBJ is an infinitely better situation. A West Coast offense is ideal for his skill set. He really could be the next Antonio Brown, but Mike Evans is a fricking stud as well. He does not lose many jump balls and he can get almost anything. I have no idea who I would pick next year, but I like the fact that Evans is tall.

As someone who's watched Graham and Colston play a lot, I'd much rather have the ODB receive who is a threat with the ball and creates separation.

If anyone think Beckham is better than AJ Green or Calvin Johnson because he has better stats then I just don't know what to tell you

I'm sure people said the same thing when AJ and Calvin came into the league and people said they were better than Reggie Wayne, Larry Fitzgerald, Terrell Owens, Brandon Marshall, etc.

I am sorry. Eli is not elite nor are the giants O Line great.

If Beckham did this while missing Pre-Season and not play 3 reg season games what do you think he will do in the same amount of time? Stop being an idiot you are not winning this argument.

Josh Gordon hasn't done anything spectacular. If ODB had elite QBs such as P.Manning or Rodgers throwing him the ball I don't think there would be a debate
