2.) Who would you rather face in an AB?

Unit was better and I'd rather face Nolan... I might be able to hit him. No way I'd hit Johnson

Ryan is criminally underrated however

randy is a lefty
nolan is a righty

nolan supposed threw a ball 108.1 mph.
randy around 102

nolan beats the shite out of people
randy is ugly.

Randy had a higher peak , but ryan a longer one.

Would rather face Ryan because RJ had just enough wildness to take away your nerve.

If I'm trying to win a World Series, Randy Johnson with no hesitation but Ryan was a badass

I know Ryan played forever but he has the most walks ever..Randy did hit more batters though

Nolan was pretty wild himself for a good chunk of his career.

Ryan is prolly my favorite player of all time. and he is criminally underrated because of the walks and never winning a world series, but if i had to face him or Randy for an at bat, going ryan for sure. Randy hit more batters in way less seasons, frick getting hit by either. Ryan has a lot less movement on his fast ball too so better chance to stick the bat out and possible hit one.

who was better? like mentioned, RJ had a higher peak, but Ryans peak was sustained longer than any in history. One game series, taking RJ. Carreer its ryan all day.

I wouldn't want to face Nolan when he was with the Mets, incredibly wild.

Nuke LaLoosh is probably based off of him.

Maybe you could get one of his career leading walks but you could also get beaned.

Ryan was so wild he once threw 235 pitches in a game.

Johnson was twice the pitcher Ryan was. Here's a stat for you. Ryan's second best season in ERA+ was 142. Johnson had eight seasons with an ERA+ of 152 or higher.

Randy is on a whole different level. One of the 10-12 best pitchers ever

Randy Johnson was better.

I would be utterly hopeless against either. Randy Johnson hit the 1.1% of batters he faced. Nolan Ryan hit 0.7% of batters he faced. So I guess give me Ryan.

Are we talking about Nolan Ryan? A lot of people consider him in the top 10. How the hell is he underrated?

I think it was Baloo who just to go on epic rants about Nolan Ryan.
