Terrible decision by Maddon to pitch Hammel in a close out game at home.

Atta boy Hammel with the K. Not worried about being in the hole early. Just means the bats get to mash some more today.

Hammel is typically good for 4 or 5 innings, which is likely all Madden was hoping for.

Yea but if within those 4-5 innings we're already down 4 or 5 runs, then what was the point? Just surrender and go back to St. Louis? frick that shite man.

Poor cubs fans.

I already can tell you what happens. Cubbies lose this game big, then lose a huge lead late to get bounced by the cards in game 5. Fans start to talk about the next year.

I think he meant he is usually good for a strong 4 or 5 innings. Hammel usually gives up runs in the later innings.

Just feel like we HAD to get off to a quick start in this game, hopefully Lackey can keep it together for 7 or 8 innings. It's gonna take more than 2 runs to win this game IMO
