well the dude literally came into the game stone cold. Im not even sure he had a chance to warm his arm up. shite happens. im 100% confident in him.

There's not a big drop-off between Russell and Baez, both at the plate and defense.
Baez is gonna be ready tonight. I'm glad to see him getting this experience.

Reading the thread last night it was apparent the Cardinal fans that participated got a bit frustrated from the game and the Cubs fans on the board.

I don't get all the hate for Baez either. He made an error. He couldn't get the ball out of his glove on the tough backhand play which would've been a really really tough play and on another chance his throw was well, soft? I don't know, he's more than capable at SS and he put together 2 great AB's last night. If not for Castro not getting out of the way, Baez would've been 2-2.

Eh, I just wish folks would be honest about their Cardinal hate.
This tired mantra that "Cardinals posters bring it on themselves on the MSB" is complete bull shite. When Mizzou joined the SEC and I joined TDs i wandered over here and the vitriol was high octane towards the Cards at that point.
People dont like teams that win a lot. I get it. As a Blues fan I hate the Black hawks and Redwings because frick them many times for winning the Cup so much. As A Rams fan I hate the 49ers and Patriots because frick them for winning. I dont hide behind some pussy BS about the fan base being shitty, of course they will celebrate winning shite. I dont pretend to make up a bunch of other noise to try and hide that simple fact. Own your shite and I can respect it, this other noise just makes people look pathetic.

I agree, but i'm not reading it as hate, more, typical anything can go wrong will go wrong cub fan mentality. Sure you can say it brought flashbacks of alex gonzalez, but really it was just a heartburn moment that didn't matter. Were his throws lazy to first, absolutely, but plenty of explanation for that, consider his lack of playing time and how he came in. Overall he's good, and even good players have bad days.

You can disagree all you want. Mizzou posters didnt just come onto this boards trolling with Cardinal shite from day one. It was most definitely a response to the Cardinal angst already here.

Yeah. I always base my opinions on teams on a subset of their online fans. It's really the smart play.

Which is wonderful from my perspective. The board needed a dose of its own medicine and Mizzou/Cardinals fans were happy to inject it. What surprised this board is the fact that Mizzou/Cardinals fans didn't roll over and take it like most other fans. We didn't conform to this boards trolling and that pissed off a large portion of this board to no end.
At least I own it. I'll own it all day everyday, muthafricka!
