You can't flip back and forth or simply watch both games on the same tv screen?

Maddon says Russell doubtful if there is a game 5.

Nothing but respect for Yadi.

Just saying he's seriously injured. If he could help and they believed he could be the X factor, I promise you he'd be in there. I wouldn't want a guy who's 50% in the lineup. That's just my opinion.

I haven't followed the Cubs as closely as I should. Therefore, pardon me for asking a stupid question: Is Russell a huge part of your offense?

Not really. But I feel more comfortable with him over Baez. He'll end up being a solid offensive player though. He's only 21.

I agree, which is why he isn't in the lineup. And that sucks. And it sucks that Martinez, our 3rd best pitcher, is injured. And it sucks that Waino isn't close to 100 percent and is only participating in a relief role. And it sucks that Adams (1st base) is injured. Etc. Etc.

The Cards accomplished 2015's best record with these type of role players being injured most of the season. When people want to call the Cards "overrated", I laugh at that because I wonder where any other team would be at this point with the type of injuries the Cards experienced in 2015.

We just plug in new players like Pham, Gritchuk, Piscotty, etc. and steam forward.

For all I know we may not have what it takes this year in the postseason. Whatevs.

The Cards are setup well for the next several years.

i mean, he's a 21yr old with a 3.4 WAR. He's pretty good, not a huge part of the offense per se, but not like he's an easy out

I googled him after I asked the question. It sucks for y'all.

But take it from a Cards fan...injuries aren't an excuse. Either you plug-n-play or you don't.

I think the Cubs will be fine. You have most of your hot bats healthy and hungry.

No, but I'd much rather have him out there defensively than Baez. Baez looked awfully rough over there last night.

Even without Russell, I'm not that concerned

Maddon has tinkered with a ton of guys at a bunch of positions and it will pay off in situations like this

We have about 5-6 guys we can plug in in the middle infield in different arrangements and not lose too too much

That's what I said. I don't think Cubs fans should be remotely worried, especially after last night's homerun derby.
