Just mix all the teams and the top 16 teams make the playoffs....

Should they do this with the NFL too?

Divisions would still determine schedule. Right?

Great. Right when the Pels are about to win like 10 straight.

Finally. Never made sense to reward bad teams who won their terrible division. Let them be 7 and 8 seeds instead of 3 and 4.

Because they're still scheduled to play against their division opponents next season. Could move to a 15 team division after next season.

I don't like it in every other sport you reward division winners. I think they're over reacting.

Your team just got screwed by this rule

No they didn't get screwed. They would've had to beat them eventually.

As I said it's an over reaction.

Seems like this helps the SW overall. Maybe not the division winner since we all beat up on each other, but the 2nd/3rd team in the division could easily get homecourt now.

Then they need to get rid of divisions and balance out the conference schedules

I would have preferred if they went to north and south conference divisions instead of this but regardless the playoffs had to be fixed so bullshite like this would not happen. So long as the division winner is always guaranteed a spot in the playoffs even if an 8 seed I'm ok with this. And honestly the NBA playoffs need to go down to 6 teams per conference not 8. Hopefully that is the next move.
