Yes it was. What's the craziest thing of 5th down is they (the refs)screwed up a 3rd time in the series of downs. The refs made CU try the extra point, which is not required or supposed to happen if not needed.

Actually that was the fourth time. As Johnson was down and never scored.

So they messed up on 2nd down not changing the marker, 4th down the spike, 5th down, then the PAT

Does Larry Mize's shot at The Masters qualify as a "play?" I mean, if he just makes the green and 2-putts as expected, Greg Norman wins outright. If he miraculously gets it close and one-putts, they move to the next hole.

Sure it does. It ended the tournament. I can't remember if Tway in 86 ended the PGA or if he did it on 17.

River City Relay has to be in the top 5.
All of the laterals is one thing, but then to be followed by a missed extra point of all things. Wow.

Can't make this shite up

That Millsaps/Trinity lateral was pretty ridiculous as well.

Kick 6 from Auburn/Bama

I wanna say it ended it. In both cases I think Norman went from up and down to win or tie to missing the putt and losing.

If you factor in Eckersley's dominant numbers that season and Gibson's injury, that walk off HR was extremely unlikely from an odds standpoint. Vin Scully's call was so on point.

I liked Buck's radio call better but the Scully call was just as amazing.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Flutie to Phelan bomb. Reason I didn't include it in the OP was he was freaking magical that year. I mean he always had that way to pull stuff off in a crunch.

If you had one play from the +35 he would be the guy you want probably at QB.

When have you not seen the guy who takes the missed field goal attempt smoke past 9 offensive linemen and score? OBJ did it for LSU earlier that year. The moment the guy got the ball you should have known the game was over.

It's an amazing play and one of the greatest finishes ever, but I don't know how "unlikely" it is.

It's never ended a game before, genius.

It was #1 v. #4 Iron Bowl with SEC and national implications and the game never would have ended that way if Saban didn't lobby for an additional second added back to the clock instead of it going to OT.
