I think I'd rather have Mejia than Lucroy straight up, and just wait a year or two on him. So fricking stupid IMO.

Can't believe they traded a 20 year old switch hitting catcher with a 40 game hit streak currently in the minors and a cannon arm.

Cleveland has the pitching staff to run through the AL. they just need more bats. Lucroy is one of the 3 best hitting C in baseball

I'd assume Lucroy will ask for a pay raise from Cleveland in order for him to waive the no-trade clause.

Has anybody mentioned the fact that Melancon doesn't do well in big markets. Remember his disaster with Boston anyone? He was beyond atrocious there and seemed legitametly unnerved by the pressure. I know Washington isn't Boston, but it's still a big market where they expect results.

Yankees may be shopping Brian McCann (Rangers, Braves). Solid behind the plate, one of their most productive hitters, clubhouse leader. Go figure.

Good deal for the Tribe. Their catchers have been terrible at the plate this year. And you made the deal without involving Frazier or Zimmer? Fantastic.

There goes Frazier and Zimmer most likely.

Buster is saying Frazier and Sheffield for Miller. Sheffield has been rumored in the Lucroy deal as well, though. Frazier has had a little trouble with breaking pitches, but his ceiling was exciting. I'll be a little bummed to see him go for a 31 yr old relief pitcher, even if they would control his contract for multiple yrs.

Good to see the Indians overpay for a relief pitcher. And they should make moves as this is their chance. Puts even more pressure on Boston to ante up for Sale. Yankees now have prospects to get in the action.

You mean Yanks execs? Why would the Tribe trade him away if they see him as the next Trout?
