Show me where I said it was a bad trade based on what they gave up.
I think Barnes sucks and will fit perfectly next to Mr Act Tough guys Allen and Randolph, getting him for a 60th pick or whatever is a good move by Memphis but Barnes ain't making them any better than 6th or at absolute best 5th team in the WEST.

What I've learned so far
1. DPOY means you're a tough/hard arse.
2. Ariza is a tough guy, but he did not win DPOY...ever
3. D12 didn't back down from a 39 year old KG who we ALL know is the definition of a fake tough guy, so that makes D12 tough.
4. Boom somehow inserts rocket players into a memphis conversation
Kawhi Leonard is such a tough guy though...

This is a good trade for Memphis. They moved a guy who would never play in their rotation to another defensive stud off the bench with length. He is a streaky shooter as well. I expect Memphis to draft a big to help with depth in that area if possible. Memphis needs more offense as well.

We improved our bench and rotation for absolutely nothing. It was a great move. That's not that same thing as saying Barnes is a great player, but he averaged 10pts a game last year and shot decently well from 3.
