They are one of most well liked teams in the league by nuetral fans. Hell SBnation's lead NBA writer joked that Philly fans should just become Grizzlies fans while their team keeps tanking.

That's because the franchise was perennial losers until a few years ago and they haven't won enough. Teams become hated when they win. Memphis just isn't threatening. You look at the roster and laugh under your breathe "how are they gonna score" Then they come out and play tough D I'll give them that and before you know it, hey you may have lost the game. I guess that defensive minded play appeals to some. It turns me off to them that they have to act like they are the toughest guys on the blocks every chance they get, Barnes will be perfect.

Because in the last 30 years they have the fewest amount of losing seasons of any FRANCHISE in the big 3 sports? Yea maybe that has something to do with it.

I agree with you. I think I'm not a huge fan because I have to deal with all the bandwagon fans at Ole Miss who don't know anything about basketball. I love Conley though.
