Because yall even think there may be a New Orleans hornets team after next year, much less BScott coaching.

Ya know God forbid someone goes out on a limb around here...I really hope to be able to revisit this in a few months.

And to those who think I'm just a LSU homer, I could care less if Thornton played or not if I was confident we had someone better ahead of him.

Not being cynical, just know how the NBA works. There is a reason BScott has not received a extension. Final year coaches in the NBA rarely are around after that final year.

Team will be here as long as they win. Fans will support as long as they win.

The inch is not the point. If you're gonna attack that guy over Thorton's height, you probably shouldn't state bullshite as fact.

Personally, I hope Thornton TEARS shite up next year and wins ROY honors. I don't see it happening but I'll be pulling for him. I'm just knocking the Hornets saying they are in bad shape if a second round pick starts in year one barring a rash of injuries.

I think everyone is stupid for saying Mthornton will start over SualBop...I think Marcus is a great player and will be a great backup this year, but he wont be a starter. I like the fact that Julian Wright might start and Peja off the bench. That will give us a balanced starting lineup and the bench will be great offensively, which is what we were missing last year.

starters-
1.CP3
2.Butler
3.Julian
4.DWest
5.TC

bench
1.Collison
2.MT
3.Peja/Posey
4.Posey/Peja
5.Hilton

I think us getting that awesome awesome PF in FA is a little overrated. Posey or Peja can play the PF a little and I hate to say it, but Sean Marks(if signed back) is a decent post player. Id say he was our most improved player last year and he kept us from sucking dick while TC was cramping up on the bench for half the year.

And for those of you who say we are going to suck dick next year.....

I hate to disagree with you, but Im gonna have to disagree with you.

That is the SAME team that played last year and the year before. And besides Peja, everyone is young. And everyone thought we were going to be the championship last year if we beat the lakers....

Now im not going to argue about this all day, but if we stay healthy....I think we are a good team. People forget that we have CP3 on our team. Greatest PG in the game today.

And for those of you who say we are too small and we will get outrebounded EVERY game....

We have a 7'0 center, and a 6'9 PF that are very strong. Same guys we had last year, and we didnt usually get outrebounded with them on the floor. And MT will not get pushed around because he is a very strong dude. And hes around 6'3 which isnt terribly small for a SG. And for the person who said he wont be able to guard Brandon Roy who is one of the bigger SG's in the leauge.....FAIL...Nobody can guard him.

Hornets are the 3rd oldest team in the league. It's not the SAME team, that's what your not understanding. Each season is a different season. Players change over time, coaches change over time and again this team got very old, very quick.

scott's gone, they were even hesitant about bringing him back this year let alone another shitty year. he's going to be the scapegoat for the whole franchises' failures.

That would be Peja, AD, MoPete, Posey, and Rasual, Bowen, and Ely. Those guys are older and make the teams average very high. Only 3 of those guys play. Next year we will be even younger. CP3, DW, TC, Julian, Hilton, DC, and Mt are all young and those are the guys that will be playing the majority of the time.

People forget how weak we are at the SG position. People forget Rasual Butler was getting zero playing time in 2008, and was only used last season due to the loss of Pargo and the rapid decline of MoPete. It wouldn't be at all surprising to me if Thornton did start some games for us next year.

For those saying this won't happen because Thornton supposidely doesn't play defense, don't forget Pargo was an undersized 6'2 SG that didn't play much defense.

If you are talking about the season we just had....you are mistaken my friend. Rasual Butler played very well last year. He played in a posistion that hes not accustomed to and he did very well in it. He averaged about 10 a game which isnt what we expected. If Rasual was a bench player, he would be one of the better players off the bench in the league.

I think that was MoPetes first year if im not mistaken. And yes, it was pretty bad. But Pargo would come in and score so we got used to it.

Yea, and now Pargo's gone. So the only people battling for time at SG is Thornton, MoPete (only played 12mpg last year and will almost certainly get ousted by Thornton) and Butler--a guy who literally wasn't in the rotation as recent as 2008 (first half of the calendar year). I'll say it again-- anyone who doesn't think Marcus has a shot is extremely cynical.
