I'm not a fan of his just because he went to lsu. He improved so much after only one year with Trent Johnson that I see him improving a lot more with 100% focus on basketball. I also think he fits perfectly with the hornets who need better perimeter shooting and hustle players.

I see Butler fading back again right alongside Mo Pete.

Byron Scott has already said he is seriously looking at starting Julian wright over Peja, so my starting 5 by the end of the season will be(assuming no trades are made soon):

Chris Paul
Julian Wright
Marcus Thornton
David West
Tyson Chandler

Key Bench Players:

Peja
Collison
Posey
Butler
Hilton

Not bad IMO. If healthy we could have a very good year.

Come on man. You're only saying this because he's an LSU player.

Said this morning that neither Collison or Thornton play good enough defense, doubt they see the floor more than 10 minutes a game

If MT can step up defensively and show some promise there, then he might be able to crack the starting line-up. We all know that he will be able to score in the NBA so offensively he has the tools to be a consistent contributor, but it will be his defense that will keep on or off the bench.

you dont know much about basketball

marcus thorton is 6'2 at the most... nowhere near big enough to be a 2 guard in the NBA

you can still play two small guards. there is no set size for any position.

yeah i saw that

i was just assuming for his sake that he messed up and really plans to have 6'9 julian wright at the 3 and 6'2 at the 2

what offensive potential does julian wright have? the only quotes ive seen about him are that he has a terrible shot selection.

Butler sucks and peja can't guard a lamp post...would they really be that much of a downgrade?

And don't have a link on me but read direct quotes on I think nba.com or hornetsreport, byron scott was interviewed during our game yesterday and said he may bring peja off the bench and start juju.

and a terrible jumpshot in general

julian's best offensive move is getting out on the break and letting cp3 do his thing

anybody remember the AI snow backcourt? those sob made it to the Finals! so if marcus can produce and play bigger than himself, that would awesome!

If all goes well, Thornton will be a contributor off the bench this year. It's too much to expect him to crack the starting lineup in his first season. A lot of second round picks will struggle just to make their respective teams.

wasn't AI the MVP that year?

chris paul and thorton in the backcourt would be a huge defensive liability

thorton's best NBA comparison is eddie house... instant offense, no interest in defense

And the hornets go small quite often if you've watched them. But yes I would have thornton at the 2, juju at 3
