Schefter just tweeted Manziel has demoted to 3rd string.

I'm pretty conflicted on how I feel about this. On one hand JFF absolutely has to grow up and can't put himself in these situations.

On the other, let this kid live his life. Imagine if every single time you went out you had cameras and videos in your face trying in every way possible to catch you slipping.

If I had a job where I was making millions and had a job of just not fricking up, I would be fine. Just don't frick up, do what they ask.

He needs to buckle down and focus on football. They gave him a chance to prove himself and he flew to Austin on his bye weekend to party. He needs to decide how badly he wants to be a professional football player

considering his history, I don't blame media following him...he has done some idiotic things...if he cares about his job, he will do what it takes to keep it

While I think he can certianly do what he wants, if he wants to be taken seriously as an NFL quaterback, then he needs to think about what he does. QBs are held to a different standard than wide receivers or corner backs - they have to be leaders in the huddle. Just my HPOV

So does every Browns player who went out last weekend get demoted? Kannel on radio said 95% of the team was doing the exact same thing on their bye week

How does a player like Manziel remain on a roster with his immaturity issues on and off the field while Tebow isn't worth a roster spot? I get that Tebow has problems with his mechanics, but at least he wants to be on the field and will do anything to get his team a victory.

Because they don't give out roster spots for "wanting to be on the field". If Tebow wanted to be on the field so bad he should have switched positions so I also think what you said is BS

What maturity issues are we talking about here? Unless I'm missing something, all he did was party. So is he not allowed to legally drink and do things that 90% of professional athletes do

He was drinking at a party on the bye week and doing his Swag Kelly impression.

Considering I am sure he probably had teammates doing blow off of strippers asses on the bye, I don't see the huge deal.

I don't think anyone would have a problem if he was low key at a bar having a beer. But, my understanding is he was playing party prince again on whatever this vid was.

What if what they ask is that you don't leave your house unless it's to go to work.

Manziel threw for 370 yards on 73% completion (33/45, 1 TD) last game against Pittsburgh.

When his past issues have been pretty well documented and he's come out time and again about how serious he is about football now, I see why the Browns have an issue. It showed an amazing lack of common sense when all he had to do was lay low for one weekend and he would have had his shot to prove himself as an NFL starter

I'm sure the Browns have set some expectations for him as far as off field behavior and I'm guessing this violated that also, but that's just speculation. Even if they didn't it was dumb on his part
