Fournette has gone against 8 and 9 men boxes the whole year. Dalvin Cook has the advantage of playing in an offense where they don't have to key on him. Hell, on just size and ability alone, if you're an NFL GM you pick Fournette over Cook 10 out of 10 times. Its not even a debate.

I would have to disagree with this. He's accounted for 41% of FSU's offense despite dealing with an ongoing hammy injury that caused him to get only two carries in the Wake Forest game. Defenses are certainly keying on him, and if they aren't, they're making a mistake.

Fournette's size definitely makes him a better NFL prospect. No arguing that.

28 carries
159 yards
3 touchdowns

THIS WAS LEONARD FOURNETTE'S WORST GAME THIS YEAR.

15 carries
54 yards
0 touchdowns

Dalvin Cook's worst game. Against a team that has one FBS win this year, over a MAC team.

And don't play the "Boston College has the #1 defense in the country" card. 1/3 of BC's schedule has come against FCS competition. They held a 2-4 Maine team to 91 yards, and an 0-6 Howard team to 11. That'll skew your statistics every time.

In addition, 3 of the top 4 defenses in the country are ACC teams. 5 of the top 10. 8 of the top 32. That either says the entire ACC is playing '85 Bears defense, or ACC offenses SUCK. Appalachian State, Navy, Temple and Utah State are also in the top 11. Statistics lie.

I like LF7 as much as everybody else, but I have watched Cook enough to know that a legit case can be made for him as well. I would put Cook behind LF7 but the gap isn't so wide that it should be ignored.

Fournette is a beast, that is for sure! With that said and not taking anything away from him...but how about some love for the LSU offensive line as well!

Additionally, LSU just might be the best team in the country! I hope it will Ohio State and LSU in the NC game.

You're catching a lot of heat but people don't realize how much better LSU's o-line is. What Dalvin is doing is incredible.

I think Leonard is better but I think the competition is closer than people realize.

It's nice to see Cook healthy, and perhaps he is slightly better than Fournette when healthy, but he hasn't been healthy all year and I think that is a fair criticism and plenty enough reason to have him behind Fournette for this year.

Elliot isn't getting much love in this thread.

He's the most complete back in the nation.

Leonard is a stud though and obviously the most powerful of the bunch.

You can't go wrong with the top 4.

I cant wait to see Leonard vs Alabama.

Here's the deal: if you're dismissing the notion that Dalvin Cook might be the best back in the country as ridiculous and something from a troll, then you haven't seen Dalvin Cook play. If my Dalvin Cook position is necessarily troll-like, then i don't have any idea what a troll is.

I've watched both RBs play many times. More than most LSU fans have probably seen LF + Cook -- they're two different type of RBs, but Cook is just as good as LF. Cook is also putting up insane #s this year without a backup RB, a bad OL, and a messed up hammy. They're 1a and 1b in my book

FSU's o line was an absolute shite show the first few weeks of the season. It's slowly getting better
