Not just Ricky, their team last was loaded with talented seniors. Their DC moved to AD two years ago and I think that has hurt them a little as well. The biggest problem is that all of the EBR district is so unstable right now that it is having massive ramifications in all aspects of the schools.

Don’t think we will but a second round road game makes it more likely we’ll have a home quarterfinal, and given our history that’s all the speculation I want to do

Well... we are now 10 in power ranking on geaux preps... guess who is 7...

West Monroe.

Still a week to go and things can change but it's amazing how we can't get away from them in recent years.

Well they can’t get away from Zachary… btw I see them losing this week, and we’re gonna slightly lose power points, so I don’t think we’re gonna see them this year (thank god)

We’re probably the last people in the state who think they’re the powerhouse they used to be ??

District 10-2A will be decided this week in LaPlace when Isidore Newman (8-0, 2-0) visits St. Charles Catholic (9-0, 2-0).

I really dislike these small districts.

At this point I'd like to see us play in the northshore district. I'll deal with 3-4 games a year on the NS.

Move Ponchy over to the Livingson/Acension district who will become 8 teams with Prairieville joining assuming they come in at 5A.

Have a St Tammanard District

Move Ehret to the river parishes district.

Let Bonnabel, EJ, and WJ play down to 4A LOL

Question: how far is Prairieville from Woodlawn BR?

8 miles but 5 miles from the parish line so the ones from EBR going to d town(not athletes) will likely switch

What happened to West Jeff football? They used to be pretty good. I was at their game this week and they got shutout by Belle Chasse and had about 15 people in the stands for a game that was less than twenty minutes away from their campus

Demographics happened. The school these days is full of non-football playing kids who really don't care much for school pride. All of their programs - athletics, band, etc, are down.

West Jeff hasn't been good in football for 10 years, if not more.

Even Ehret is far below their historial standard.

This is happening throughout Jefferson Parish. I know a number of years ago, they cut middle school athletics. Does anyone know if it was ever restored?

Also, Chalmette tonight is hosting the regional marching band competition.

The only Jefferson Parish schools participating are Kenner Discovery (a charter) and Riverdale.

Are the jefferson schools in two different districts?

The lineup at Chalmette tonight:

Kenner Discovery
Riverside
Ponchatoula
Jesuit
Brother Martin
Rummel
Riverdale
Live Oak
Catholic
St Aug
Fountainbleu
Chalmette
Tulane

Willie Brooks left to become an assistant at Ehret and they got the former coach from Southern-Shreveport… a program which was pretty short lived and didn’t know if it was a club team or a JUCO. A lot of t’s were not crossed and i’s not dotted. Thing about football is, you can’t cheat a process, and you are what you’re a part of...

And since Katrina, while Chalmette fans have enjoyed incredible consistency and stability with their growth, Jefferson Parish has added 3A Haynes, 3A Thomas Jefferson, 3A Patrick Taylor, 4A Kenner Discovery, 2A Jefferson Rise, and now recently 3A Young Audiences… only just recently did they get rid of Helen Cox and Grace King to compensate for that

That's District VI. They've been at EJ for decades!! Wonder why the change?

I know concert band festival has been at Chalmette for years. That theater is nice.
