frick me they were playing Patterson. Hope everyone’s okay and it’s some sort of misunderstanding or something

Well they called that game at a 16-16 tie… wondering how that works with the power points

But everyone from Patterson was safe. They said it wasn’t at the stadium and two people were injured

NM one of them did die

They were reporting it in the local scoreboard as well with highlights. But didn’t show any Woodlawn scores. Meaning I’m still confused at the real score. Haha

Just kept thinking the 35-36 made no sense.

Were there flags on the play?

No. The rule I mentioned in a subsequent post is meant for punts that are blocked/tipped.

If a blocked/tipped punt doesn’t reach the LOS, either team can advance it. The punt was just so bad, because of the bad snap, that it didn’t reach the LOS without it being touched.

They have to fix that rule for this specific instance. Leave it in place for a punt that is blocked/touched, but treat it like a downed punt if it occurs like last night.

I lost a game on this rule. Punt was so bad it almost went backwards. We yell Peter. They pick it up and run it for a game winning touchdown.

I guarantee 99.9% of football players don’t know this ridiculous rule, which is why I said the punting team could do this on purpose and probably score on it.

You got to have an awesome accuracy punter to pull that off though…

A coach would watch that disaster in motion at practice for about 2 reps to see how ridiculous the idea is.

Have only watched one game of theirs, but it has a lot to do with losing a 4 year starter at QB that carried the team his entire time there.

Not just Ricky, their team last was loaded with talented seniors. Their DC moved to AD two years ago and I think that has hurt them a little as well. The biggest problem is that all of the EBR district is so unstable right now that it is having massive ramifications in all aspects of the schools.

Same thing happened to Ponchatoula from 2021 to 2022, only our HOF coach left as well.
