No he didn't........or at least that's what all my friends from SL said in college. Was at that game, my senior year in HS. Only team we beat that year was SL.

interested to see the HC-Rummel game after Rummel had so much trouble with Hahnville

Rummel won't have trouble, last week they faced a very fast defense that gave them fits. Only about 40 total yards until the last play. If Hahnville had any coaching they win the game. Rummel defense is very good.

So how do they work the power points for the playoffs when you played ooc games from a different division?

We'll see. Catholic District is gonna be either Aug or Rummel, everyone else playing for 3rd.

Power points work exactly as they have in the past. the "Division" tags only come into play with determining which playoff pool you're eligible for. At least, that's how I understand it.

So, the Catholic League teams in NOLA are 5A...but will play in the Division 1 playoffs.

I'm not sold on this Division 1 thing. Only 10 teams so everyone gets a spot.

If they kept the old playoff system probably 7 or 8 of those teams make the playoff. I liked how they did it where 7-10 and 8-9 are play in games and 1-6 get byes.

Thanks
but heck, if they do that, they should integrate the districts too. Just pull the the teams into the select and whatever the other one is called only for the playoffs.

meanwhile our district might be the worst in the history of 5A (and that includes when Orleans public schools made up one entire district)

the records i'm predicting for 8-5A when district starts in week 6

Bonnabel 0-5
Chalmette 0-5
Helen Cox 1-4 the 1 against Miller McCoy
Higgins 0-4
West Jeff 1-4 the 1 against Grace King
Ehret 1-4

Grace King might win two games against Riverdale and McDonogh but they don't count since they won't play district

and of course one of these teams will be in the nonselect playoffs

in the calpreps rating system 8-5A is behind 3 class 2A (!!!!!) districts and 6 class 3A districts

Some solid HC-Chalmette trivia there. I wasn't around, but heard stories about a game in the mid-'70s ending in a tie because a Chalmette fan teargassed the stands and the game had to be suspended.

they finished a few days later with cops and coaches the only ones there.

That really happened, Chilly. My dad, whom I believe you may know, says he was there and he and all of his friends on the HC side were doubled over and puking.
