no, before that. They were the #1 team in the state and it was pretty much undisputed. They had 5 wins over other teams in that top 25 plus the game against the Maryland team

You can drop Huntington from those power rankings. Got boatraced by Neville tonight. A complete beatdown after much shite talking. 37-0 at halftime, and Nevill pulled its starters. 37-0 final. AJ Allen scored tds on the first two neville plays. Had like 160 on 6 carries with 3 tds. LSU commit Will Campbell was destroying the whole Huntington D line. I wish LSU would look at AJ Allen. Kid is on fire and is a hell of a running back. (Of course, having 2 D1 linemen blocking for him helps, but he's fast as shite and slippery.)

He gone!

He will weave through the defense and hit that last gear, and... He gone.

Allen and that sophomore at Ouachita Sirmons are the two most dynamic playmakers I've seen this season in NELA.

Sirmons will be as coveted as Allen in two seasons.

Allen totally being slept on. Kid is special.

Liberty wrapped up District 7-4A last night with a 62-27 win over Belaire. Junior RB Kaleb Jackson had 200 yards on 13 carries and 3 touchdowns to lead Liberty.

Any word on how the petition to the LSHAA to combine Livingston and Ascension is progressing?

If that happens, EBR would be a stand-alone 5A District with Catholic, Woodlawn, Liberty, Scotlandville, Zachary and Central.

This needs to happen.

Pretty competitive district in most every sport, and would very well be in the convo for best football district in the state.

Updated classification listings and initial districting plans should go out to schools next week, and the next meeting is Nov. 15.

Not necessarily. If East Ascension beats St. Amant, there's a 3-way tie and EA beat Woodlawn but lost to Catholic. It would be a legit 3-way split.

The oldest rivalry in the state, the Claiborne Parish Super Bowl, takes place again tonight.

The schools have played each other on the gridiron over 100 times.

The populations of both Homer and Haynesville have shrunk considerably over the years, but the hatred between the two towns has remained constant.

Homer broke a 9 year losing streak last season. Both teams appear evenly matched this year. It should be a good game that will impact 1A playoff seeding.

Believe it or not, almost a hundred years ago, both won titles in the highest classification
