HTF did they lose to Rosepine?

because rosepine is fricking good and has like 4 d1 guys including lsu commit frey.

and yea barbe is 100% the favorite in 5a but starting in the semis they could get upset with the 1 game final as sulphur has brown they can throw at them.

as far as the finals being in sulphur....the park is nice but i think having at ull is better and once youngsville finishes the park they just announced everything should be there except the 5a finals which should be at ull

Personally I hate it. The poles give a very obstructed view unless you stand all game in the outfield. With ULM, Tech, McNeese, and ULL having turf it would seem very easy to host the semifinals/finals even with the 148 brackets.

If Division II goes chalk, St. Louis would have to beat Vandebilt Catholic and LSUE SP Commit Owen Schexnaydre in a 2/3 semi.

Also, 5 seed St. Thomas More has played Teurlings twice and St. Louis once, and won all three games.

Any one of those four, plus a stout Parkview as the 4 seed, could win Division II.

it was just my guesses. im picking st louis mainly based off of them being very battle tested. But you are 100% right there are 4 or 5 teams in that division that could easily win it.

BTW all who downvoted my post about publics feeling like they own kids....typical. We congratulate kids for choosing the better academic path so long as they dont play sports....the min they do....oh god..we need rules, they are recruiting

i mean wtf is the big deal about recruiting and what is it anyways? Offering the kid a free education...same thing he is getting at the public school? oh...the horror.

That’s a huge advantage that St. Louis and Parkview have. Their non district games in LC and BTR are harder than their district. The top teams in Divison II won’t be anything they haven’t seen.

Certainly not to 100% of the student body like a public.

I kinda did. I assumed a top 4 5A team should beat them.

Got an all AP 5A State Championship. St Amant vs Dutchtown, for all the marbles.

Just received a text from my daughter's school saying Friday is a 1/2 day for Sulphur due to their playoff games.

Guess they're feeling pretty confident.

don’t mind the split as much as the fact they made 5 freakin divisions. Tiny privates are not giving out scholarships.

nobody is beating barbe unless they have an absolute legit as frick pitcher and its 1 game.

sulphur has a chance in the semis if brown pitches crazy lights out.

nobody is beating barbe in a 3 game series like st amant would have to.

got to think barbe would be pitching the following in a 3 game

Gavin Guidry (best pitcher in the state imo)- LSU commit
JC Vanek- LSU committ- junior lefty
Landon Victorian- Stud Soph that is touching 93-94 and has been pitching amazing. Last night he threw 5 shutout innings and only allowed 1 hit.

now in a 1 game...anything can happen. I think they win the whole thing but there is a reason they got beat by Sam Houston so bad earlier in the year....anything can happen in a 1 game series.

Or they’re testing karma… like having senior night at your first round playoff game…

5A nonselect is NOT the division for that

Don’t they know his team was young as hell?

Unless it’s about something he did off the field
