I think either Peabody or Bolton in district 3 is a magnet. I know Scotlandville is a magnet. I don't know if any of them meet the 1/4 or 1/3 enrollment standard require to be considered select, though.

Look at the 5A district in the Acadiana area and see all the select enrollment schools. They would fall under the private side.

I am sure there are mistakes but this gives us a loose interpretation of the way the numbers break down:

20/63
15/61
12/58
25/67
30/60
7/42
13/35

122/386 = 31.6% of all LHSAA schools are private/select/charter/magnet

11/63
11/61
8/58
15/67
28/60
4/42
11/35

88/386 = 23% are private schools

quote:

According to the Advocate, Lafayette High would be the only select from Lafayette Public Schools. The magic number is 33%. If one third of your student body is from out of zone you will be select. LHS has the Health Academy, Preforming Arts Academy and it houses the gifted program.

quote:

From what I have read, the Rapides schools will not be select, but Magnet schools will be "SELECT" along with certain Schools of Choice and all "CHARTER" schools.
