Why are Harden's on/off numbers lacking?

he averages 57.7 a game in Points+points off assist which if he finishes the season today that will be an NBA record

to say he should not be a MVP favorite is a joke

Westbrook is about to average a triple double, leads the league in PER, VORP, and Box plus/minus. Hell, his box plus/minus is going to shatter the previous record, and the difference between he and Harden at #2 is the difference between Harden and Draymond Green at #14. Houston has the better team, and Harden is deserving, but Westbrook has had the move MVP-like season.

Kawhi Leonard a Top 5 player?

Who really cares?
Does he get the job done? Yes.
Does he make his team better? Yes.
Has he come up big in big situations? Yes.

Kawhi type guys are more valuable in the postseason when it matters.

Forgive rocketfan for not being familiar with this echelon of player.

They haven't witnessed such since the Clinton administration.

Boom thinks Manu and Duncan were in their prime when Kawhi won a Finals MVP.

Ok we'll go with

"Since they were good enough to be key cogs on a title team."

Either way, doesn't make Leonard look all that impressive in postseason.

he had Tons of help. Tons more than he has now. Since those guys weren't championship caliber, 1-2.

So MVP awards are diluted when you have more help

Got it

Funny little nugget I can add is I was listening to David Locke podcast today and him and the guest both said the current version of Spurs are a regular season team. They were slightly tactful when They said it bc they admittedly didn't want to criticize pop. But the point was clear.

his MVP is what it is. We not diluting it. Just saying that he won't be in a position to win another one bc he doesn't have the help he had back then.

He's the best all-around but defense gets overlooked in the NBA

As evidenced by people putting Harden in their top 5.
