Does anyone else feel like he talks too much during the games?

Just my opinion but I think he's a great analyst especially about pitching. I enjoy his commentary.

Yes. He talks way too much. In baseball especially, you gotta let the moment breathe a bit.

I agree he's got a lot of knowledge and good insights. He knows a lot. But sometimes I wish he would just shut up for a minute or two and let me hear the sounds of the ballpark

Yep. As mentioned, always good to "let it breathe"

Will always love him.

Just wish he knew all these keys to succeeding in the postseason back in the 90s.

Does anyone else feel like you shouldn’t start a thread about someone if you can’t spell his FREAKING name?

He’s been famous for over 30 years and his name is in the goddamn screen. Come on man.

Learned from experience

Also wasn’t he the best postseason pitcher for the Braves in the 90s?

He was for the most part. As I said, I love the guy. Just feel like he bends over backwards to try and show he’s not a Braves homer.

He gets paid by the word. That's why he uses mostly short words.

He did.
Go back and look at his post season stats.
Some of the best in the history of MLB.
He couldn't go score runs to back up his pitching. It sucks that the Braves just never could seem to get that one crucial hit time after time in the post season.
Smoltz damn sure wasn't the reason the Braves didn't win more than one WS.
