The lhsaa could make john curtis forfeit all of their regular season games this season and they'd still make the playoffs and win the state championship.

I think Evangel starts the year 0-2. At Allen, TX this week, followed by Neville in Indy.

Yeah Curtis hasn't broken the rules in 40 years and suddenly this comes out... the timing seems pretty suspect when public schools are trying to force privates out of the LHSAA and make them think it was their idea

You certain? The last public v. private thread we had in here, a couple regular posters stated that the privates couldn't get their shite together and weren't going anywhere, any time soon.

I hate to derail this thread, but what's the latest consensus? Choupiquesushi, what do you see in your tea leaves?

Redistricting is every two years. This school year is the second year of the cycle, so the process will start up soon. Which would be a great time to make a clean break.

I'm not a fan of Curtis, per se, but this is just dumb. It's akin to that legislator trying to make the Cajun navy get permits. It comes down to doing what is right. Who knows where Willie Allen would be without the Godfrey family

We also have to assume the school that dropped the dime wouldn't have their 5 star recruit live with a coach if he had to...

I don't care about high schools pulling in players if it gets them out of bad situations and potentially gives them an opportunity at a college education. Or at the very least gives them a better HS education.

I preface with that only to express how I don't care, but I find it funny to look at rosters of power 5 schools and see all the kids from Rummel that signed with schools and of the 9 or 10 of them, there are about 8 different home towns listed. Marrero, Metaire, New Orleans, Kenner, etc.

Curtis wouldn't look any different. Holy Cross, Brother Martin, St Aug, Jesuit, all probably wouldn't look any different. Even among the normal student body. Kids from all over the NOLA metro area travel all over the NOLA metro are to go to school, athlete or non athlete.

gotta follow the rules... all he would have had to do was sit out one year and then he would have been good to go.

How much more shite on can they get? They're basically a loud minority, with no ability to decide anything in the state.

Have you got a load of the basketball brackets?? Mr. Ron Brocato who writes for the Clarion Herald in New Orleans wrote in this weeks article that it's entirely possible that the Greater New Orleans Catholics and Curtis, could well boycott the LHSAA basketball playoffs and hold their own tournament. That would leave Division I with TWO teams: Byrd and Scottlandville to play for the "State Championship."

reclassification you mean...... rescheduling is every except in football which is a two year mostly home and home contract.

the privates aren't going anywhere because they can't all get on the same page or else they would have already walked...

Yea, they really needed to turn him in when the story was plastered all over ESPN last year. Maybe they can recoup some of their losses by Curtis too....oh wait....
