His first 3 years looked like he was going the way of Morrison or Jimmer then he completely turned it around.

I was expecting a demonstrative aid of some sort. I'm pretty disappointed.

I think people like Redick more now because he isn't in the public spotlight as much as he was in college. TO kepp the Adam Levine thing going , people like a song they hear every now and then, but they really hate that same song when it's played 10 times every day on the radio.

Plus he is one of the best interviews in sports. That means nothing to the casual fan, but it definitely helps win over the kinds of people who have thousands of posts on sports message boards.

Fwiw, his last season in Orlando (which ended with that stupid trade to the Bucks) was probably his best basketball. He was averaging 4 assists per game there and shooting almost as well as he is currently. With the CLips, it's easier on him because all he has to do is play league average defense and bury his (mostly open) shots.

Redick has an advantage Morrison never had and that is enough athletic ability and quickness to make it in the league. Jimmer could have taken a page from Redick's book about moving without the ball but I don't think he works nearly hard enough. You cant be an undersized, average athlete guard and expect to be ball dominant.

Just looking at this thread title. Is Wayne Ellington still in the league? I never really thought he was going to be NBA material really. Maybe D-League. But I never would have thought Danny Green would have been as successful as he is. Hell pop sent him to the d-league for christ sake. And he came back and is a serious player for the spurs.

Redick definitely doesn't come off like a folksy southerner like Brett Favre or anything

More like a metrosexual guy who bangs instagram models and then feels guilty when he goes home and sees his family and then gets a biblical sleeve tattoo to make up for it

Especially when Dick Vitale is lead vocalist.

It is a shame that Curry thread is locked. Even the most optimistic posts considered him a role player in the NBA.

It's not a resurgence. He took three years to get things going and has spent the last 7 improving. He's a shooter who is not relying on athleticism so getting older doesn't affect him as much. And yes he's playing fantastic ball. Deserves to be talked about.

I just don't find his arc all that interesting outside of maybe the fact that people thought he'd be a bust. That issue has been settled for 5 years though.

Kyle Korvers three best years of his career were age 31, 32, and 33. Redick looks to be better but they are certainly comparable. What am I missing?
