If true. good. He needs to work on defense.
Just like Wiggins needs to work on ball handling and developing his offensive game. He's already an elite defender.

Embiid and Randle are the only ones ready out of the top 5. Exum also I believe but he's more of an unknown

As much as I hate one and done players..I don't think his stock could get higher than it is. It's already top 5.

Is there a reason why he can't work on these things in the NBA?

Suppose he can. To me he is very much like Paul George (wiggins) comes in to the league with great defending and athleticism and needs to work on his offense.

All 18 and 19 year olds need to improve their games. Parker would be a moron to come back.

He is way overated but you are right. He should leave now while the leaving is good....

parker is the most nba ready and the one most likely to get immediate minutes and production. he should go for sure.

I agree. If he comes back, this would be just like Luck coming back. Good for him, but I don't get it.

When it comes to NBA readiness, Embiid is the least ready of all the marquee names.

I can't remember an NBA prospect staying in college to work on defense

And playing in the NBA is the best option to improve this. Dumb decision IMO.

He is the most NBA ready of the possible top 5.

He will get numbers because of size, athleticism, and motor, but he still could use a lot of work. He still turns the ball over too often, needs to improve his mid-range game, and needs to get better on the defensive end. He gets lost on defense way too often.

Would literally be the worst reason to stay in college

I doubt that is why he's staying. If he does stay, it'd be to play with Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones and not to leave on a bad note like losing in the 1st round.

The NBA is not the place to work on things. Need to learn how to dominate first

And that is a reason that makes sense.

Randle, yes. But Embiid and Exum?? And you talk about how Parker and Wiggins need to come back to work on things. Embiid is more raw than any of them. Sure, hes better than people thought going into the season. But still is very young in terms of playing basketball and understanding the mental part of it. And Exum didnt even play in college. Hes going from an Australian league to the NBA. Thats a bigger jump in terms of competition than going from college to the NBA. I dont get how you think hes more ready for the NBA than Parker and Wiggins.

Outside of Randle, Parker is the most NBA ready, and I dont know how much more he can improve his stock. Hes an efficient offensive player, good rebounder, and can score inside and outside. And Wiggins isnt as raw as most people think. 17ppg, 45% from the field, and a great defender. Plus, the NBA game isnt a half court style of play that college is. Its a much faster game where transition offense and D is huge. Wiggins can get up and down the court as good as anyone in the league can.

And you dont draft players for just their rookie year, in any sport. You draft them for what they can become. Its not like players are only as good as their rookie year either.

If Parker returns, good for him. I can never bash a player that decides to return to college. And nobody should. But, outside of Randle, hes the most NBA ready prospect.

Damn. I didn't realize Duke had such a great class coming in. They have four players out of the top 20. Coach K coaching the Olympic team seems to have really boosted Duke's recruiting the past few years.

No way Justise Winslow is one and done if Parker stays.
