You can let Russ be Russ and James be James on the same team. Aren't they both leading the NBA for usage rates by guards? Harden would have continued his lesser role, and OKC would have gotten obliterated inside.

The other problem is when OKC needed Harden in the finals, he wasn't up to the task, even against the second unit.

They had to spot the Spurs two games in a WCF match when all season they had been running them off the court when healthy

2013-2014 they were healthy, but spotting the Spurs 2 games without your best defender was a death sentence.

The 2012-2013 squad that lost Russ was the best in the West and the League. That's the year that will haunt us forever.

And then KD barely played in 2014-2015.

So they were basically healthy one season out of three.

No shel its because his team didn't reach expectations. The main reason he didn't make all NBA teams last year is the main reason he will win the MVP this year.

These folks voting on these awards, they let internet memes and other things like that sway their opinions?

You said that, not me. But as of last year, only 4 guys had ever had a 29, 7 and 6 season. Jordan, Lebron, Robertson and Harden. His defense wasn't bad enough to offset his historically great offensive season.

I didn't say anything, I asked you a question that you dodged.

And yet the "defensive stuff" cost him. What defensive stuff? What did the voters see or hear about "defensive stuff" that cost him?
