Louisville was a Thursday night road game and Notre Dame is stacked.

I get it, but Louisville hasn't been very good, regardless of when they play.

And I agree ND is stacked; you won't hear me call them overrated, but considering the way most of that game played out, I thought Clemson missed the opportunity to bury them before a comeback was possible.

Have to give Clemson's D kudos for the stops when they needed them though.

Louisville def wasn't an impressive win, but it was also Watson's first road game since surgery. People forget the dude had ACL surgery in December. He's not even a year recovered. He spent all offseason rehabbing instead of working on timing and accuracy with his WRs. He clearly struggled early this season. He's gotten better every week, but the gameplan was extremely conservative against Louisville in his first road start back.

We def let them hang around too long. Once again we didn't open it up and part of that had to do with Watson still being rusty and another part was the monsoon.

Since those two games we've done a good job of really stepping on opponents' throats. Granted they aren't to the same level as Notre Dame, but we've done a good job of putting folks away. You also gotta acknowledge the defense getting the stops when it matters.

I'm really hoping the trend continues with NC St this weekend.

Absolutely, which is why I think Clemson is legit. I feel like past Clemson teams would have found a way to blow either the Louisville or ND game.

And I don't care what the state of Miami's program is...if you give them a historic beatdown when the "experts" had been calling it a trap game all week, it's damn impressive.

They have been quietly decent, but haven't beaten anybody worth a damn this season. I wouldn't be stunned if they hang tight for the 1st half, but I think ya'll will put it away before crunch time.

Clemson looked better for about 10 minutes of the game, the rest of the game ND looked superior, tbh.

Not taking anything away from Clemson, because they are a great team but ND out-gained them 432 to 296 in a monsoon. The four turnovers were the difference.

contention for the playoffs when only playing 2 ranked teams. We will end up playing 7, for comparison.

Please name the 7. This should be amusing.

Let me know when this aspect of the game stops being part of football.

I wouldn't disagree that ND ended up outplaying Clemson for much of that game, but that kind of makes my point. It was 21-3 after 3 qtrs...I would expect a national championship contender to shut that game down at home and they didn't.

Like I said, I think Clemson and ND are both legit, but that 4th qtr is why I would question Clemson right now.

Clemson got up big in that game playing like they're currently playing offensively. During the 3rd & 4th quarters the offensive play calling went vanilla. Basically sitting on the egg. It worked but made it a little too interesting.

auburn

Including Mississippi St and Auburn in an attempt to boost your resume, wow. The most delusional homers are impressed.

Even A&M sucks.

Mississippi State currently is ranked. However, Auburn certainly will not be ranked again this season.

And yes, Clemson is for real. I know it's tough to lend them cred after seeing them falter time and again, but this is the most complete Clemson team I've seen and probably the most complete team in the country right now.

I think Clemson is for real and have been flying under the radar all season. They deserve to be in the top 4.

I still think if Ohio State puts it all together and if Harris continues to improve they might have us beat from a complete team standpoint, but I definitely like where we're at right now.
