And our OLine is completely different than last year and is quite possibly the best in the country this season.

The majority of LSUs new starters are freshman they don't have draft projections yet.

Our players last year had high draft projections than yours, and did that matter?

Wait, are denying that LSU doesn't have one of the best O-Lines in the country? I don't think "possibly the best" is a stretch at all.

LSU's OL has looked pretty damn good. Yal's crutch will be Steel's incompetence.

i think LSU losses 2 games, maybe 3. they havent been overly impressive as a team. Ive enjoyed some standout performances by a few players, however.

I like watching LSU for the reasons you mentioned. Hard not to think the losses with the kind of individual talent LSU hasn't aren't the direct reflection of coaching.

Yeah I blame the coaches for the losses that haven't happened

Was talking about maybe two years ago when LSU had a group of skill players that would be better than any team in the NFL.

That was not coaching, that was a complete bleeding of defensive talent by the NFL.

QB: Check

Linemen on both sides: Check

Skill players: check

Bama connection: Check (j/k. although CDS did play at Bama)

I think they are a contender.

The secondary has had some WTF moments this year, but overall the D has looked solid.

Back on topic, I think Clemson is for real. They have the whole Clemsoning reputation, but it seems programs like UGA and OU have had more random meltdowns in recent memory.

My only question about Clemson is how the hell they let Louisville and ND hang around when the Cards couldn't run the ball and the Irish kept trying to fumble the game away.

I will say that, for the first time in quite a while (like 20+ years), I think this ND team is really damn good and is still a legitimate contender for the title. This isn't our 2012 squad, and we've got NFL talent all over the roster.

Clemson beat our asses up front for the first half of that game. Their front seven is pretty fearsome. ND's offensive line is nothing to sneeze at.

Clemson looked more talented to me than SC (with a few exceptions like Adoree Jackson and Ronald Jones - Clemson doesn't have anyone like that).

So count me in the "Clemson is legitimate" column.

I will say - I'd love a rematch. Hopefully we won't be -3 on turnovers again, and Clemson wouldn't have more than twice as much time to prepare for the game as we did the second time around.

Louisville was a Thursday night road game and Notre Dame is stacked.

Lot of teams I'd rather play than Notre Dame, yal are legit team. I do think we would have opened up that passing game a looooot more if it wasn't a monsoon and would have a lot of success against yal, but I also know yal got a ton of speed at WR that had success on the crossing routes too.

Like you mentioned, our front seven is savage. The young OL is improving each week, and Watson continues to get back to last season form with each snap.
