Explain how you would go about doing it if you woke up with GOAT skills tomorrow.
Us open qualifier, win, us open, win, tour exemption for 10 years. Profit.

All the qualifying for this years us open has already happened

Definitely tennis. Big endorsements. Winning many tournaments a year and about 3 grand slams a year. Big money. Not to mention you get to travel to the best cities in the world routinely

Golf is the same thing but with bigger endorsements and shorter tournaments

id go golf, the route is already mentioned. then after i lose goat skills you could just live off being an announcer and course designer since i would have a good bit of majors under my belt

The answer is Golf... I would fly to wherever the next PGA Tour event is... Most of these events have Monday qualifying... Qualify... Then win the event... Automatic 2 year exempt status on your and invite to masters.... Win masters and get invited for life.... Hug grandmas kiss babies... Be a fan favorite... Profit off endorsements and become an analyst.

Baseball sounds really hard to get noticed when you think about it...and then work your way into the Bigs.
Golf and Tennis seem the easiest.
Basketball - if you're 35 years old...I don't know, go on Youtube and dunk all over people and make a million shots.

I still think Poker is the easy way to go

ETA: After those 5 years, you can spend all the time you want on the golf course practicing to get better. Since you won't have to work, you could golf 3-4 times a week, pay for a couple of training courses, and get good enough to go pro.
The fact that you think a couple training courses and playing 3-4 times a week would result in becoming a pro golfer is laughable.

Baseball is a dumb answer. Not only do even the greats go through the minors for at least a year or so most times; but there are so many variables. There are ppl with all te talent in the world but never made it in baseball bc of all the variables.
My answer is football RB, al though I'm not sure how I'm all of a sudden going to gain 60 lbs of pure miscle. If that's not reasonable than golf, all I've gotta do is qualify for an open, do well, and make a ton of money on tour for 5 years. Win one major and I'm a legend, although it'd be hard to explain how you I explicably lost your talent...
Basketball of football would be easy to fake an injury and just kind of disappear

People are also forgetting you are under team control for six years.
Best case scenario is you win your arbitration case and get like 10 million a year in your last two seasons.

Golf, 5 years of endorsements, champions provisions, as well as wins to be a HOF'er? If I'm GOAT 2-3 majors seems reasonable during my 5 year run. Double digit majors with 20-30 other wins. Legend.
Pretty sweet setup

Foreigners sign some pretty big contracts. I assume that in this case that's how you would be treated and be able to sign a big initial contract.
Golf would be the way to go IMO. You could dominate for 4 years and then retire Barry Sanders like at the top of your game. In pretty much every team sport you'd be the GOAT for a little while, sign a huge contract, and then go down as the worst contract ever. In golf you could get the $$$ and no one would see your demise.

Golf. Win the Masters and I'm set for life and get to Always play there

Boxing; I'd pull a Mr. T and yell at the champ when he was doing a press conference. He'd fight me, i'd pity the fool and win the belt, charge like $ may and get paid!

The correct answer is any individual sport where there are cash purses for events. You can play a shite ton of tournaments in a year, not bound by rookie contracts (especially given the CBA of team sports).
That gives you a chance to at least win 16 majors if the first year you spend breaking into the sport. If the average purse on the PGA is $800,000 and they run 40 events a year NOT including the majors which first place is around 1.5 million- theoretically looking at around 40 million a year plus the chance to play in other World Championships.
Without researching tennis, I'd say that's the next best.
In addition to your HUGE endorsement deals you'd get for winning every freaking tourney.

If you have 5 years, why would you choose college? Might as well try to make some GOAT money.

Golf by far. No long term debilitating damage from 5 years of play and a shite load more cash than the other sports.
