Let's just say you will not see AD on a Christmas day, prime time game in the near future. He just is not must watch tv and isn't on a good enough team.

Uhhh I'd say there's a decent chance we see him on christmas day this year.

What does 2 years ago have to do with anything?
Shows that Harden can be the alpha and carry a team to the playoffs. Westbrook hasn't done that.

Westbrook was forced into that role in mid February of a year he missed significant time to injury himself. And again, with an even more competitive West than 2 years ago.

But please keep hanging onto that "Harden got 'em to the 8th seed in 2013!!" moral victory like it means a damn thing. You're something else.

the team just got swept out of the playoffs, and no casual fan can name another player on the team besides davis. they aren't in a big market, and the franchise has mostly been forgettable. also, who would they play? ABC/ESPN typically matches up rival teams/storylines for their christmas games.

How about this:

Harden 2nd in MVP voting
1st TEAM ALL NBA

Westbrook?

Nope and Nope.

So the people who cover basketball for a living? Yea they agree with me.

The Suns traded away their best player at the deadline.
Who exactly was their even more competition with? OKC and the Pels. And the Pels won. Every other team who finished below OKC was tanking or just plain out a crap team besides Utah.

He's the guy who has made like 7 or 8 predictions in the playoffs and every last one of them has been incorrect. Been trying to get him to bet me but my inbox is still empty.

by the best team in the NBA.

Davis is the draw here, he's a legit super star. It's not like the team is a bunch of no names. Tyreke was ROY. Jrue has been an all star.

Neither is Durant or Westbrook.

A team from their division would be my guess, which is the best division from any professional sport.

so the best a legit super star, a former all star and ROY could muster up is an 8th seed and sweep.

true, but the success of the Thunder has generated national interest. unfortunately for davis, his team hasn't been successful, so nobody is that interested outside of new orleans.

well the best Kobe,Nash,Howard and Pau could come up with is a sweep.

The West is good. GS looks to be one of the best single season teams ever at the moment.

and the pels had injuries all year that hurt their seeding...we can go round and round on this...but it's so far off topic.

Davis is a superstar talent and young...I'd take him first and I imagine a GM poll would probably be close to 50/50 between Davis and James now in his 30s.

Davis will be more and more of a draw as he gets better.

I have to say though these NBA threads are becoming trench warfare.

dont understand how Lebron James isn't no.1. He's the most famous athlete and also the best basketball player on the planet.

It isn't hard to understand since AD is 22 and Lebron is 30.

I can see someone disagreeing, but can't see how someone doesn't understand the other side
