I believe in redemption. I love the ray Lewis jokes but I think he is a really good guy who was in the wrong place.

Yeah, I friggin' can't stand the sight of Ray Lewis. He's a piece of crap, who only got off on two murder charges because he was rich and famous. He was offered a plea deal to testify against his two buddies who were with him that night, then testified that he didn't really know what happened.
The limo driver who $aw the whole thing and who told the police the detail$ of what was $aid in the limo after the murder$ $uddenly changed hi$ $tory midway through the trial. He bought his way out of prison.

Tony Gonzalez is retiring too. Nobody's putting him on a fricking pedestal.

Of course, he hasn't killed people so he doesn't need an Extreme Image Makeover, right?

I know he is retiring. GD.

And if you people dont know that he got off of murder charges because of who he was, then I guess you are 12 years old.

I remember the whole trial and know why he got off. Everyone involved said Lewis was involved.

Either way......he is a piece of garbage that ONLY turned his life around because he nearly went to prison!

Has everyone just forgotten what happened all those years ago?

I mean....he was involved in some way with a man being dead but now......he is the "good guy" of the NFL???

I am sorry......but I cant pull for this guy and to see him celebrated is not right.

it's stuff like this that tells you everything you need to know about a person and how retarded they probably are.

As do I, because I'm in Baltimore and got the story 24/7 from local media (and they were actually pretty damn harsh on him when it broke).

Everyone involved thought Lewis tried to cover his arse when two people in his party were heavily involved in a bar fight where two other people were killed. He was never seriously considered a knife-carrying perp by prosecutors or investigating LE, just a bystander whose friends did some bad shite and who had a lot of money on the line and tried to cover his arse rather than cooperate with the police...a situation many a favorite NFL player could find themselves in, fwiw.
