So in what way was he involved that you don't approve?

Sounds exactly like what people say about Joe Namath.

"pleaded guilty to misdemeanor obstruction of justice in exchange for testimony against Sweeting and Oakley."
Lewis advising all his buddies, killers, not to tell the cops nothing. He admitted to it.
"It was a plea deal in which Lewis agreed to testify against his two friends, Oakley and Sweeting, who were later acquitted after Lewis' testimony failed to implicate them in the murders."
The prosecution was hastily put together and all over the place, but witnesses changed their stories too.
The victims families openly question the monetary influence Lewis provided for the defendants and some witnesses. But I guess being on the victim's side who wouldn't feel that way considering how shitty that trial was.

Sounds like the government was trying to be a thug POS. The state tried to strong arm Ray into testifying against his friends against whom they didn't have enough evidence to bring it to trial in the first place. I'm glad Ray shoved it in the government's face. The prosecutor should have never wielded the state's power in such an underhanded way against a private citizen. Ray's a damn hero.

I don't doubt his mistakes but since then he hasn't shown any of that. I believe in redemption and unless shown otherwise, will focus on all the good deeds I have seen from him. I love how we expect athletes to be perfect people and the moment they show their human side with a big or small mistake we cast them aside.

I would submit that if you posted a list of your favorite sports teams/players....we would all find a POS on that list, just saying
I don't have a horse in the race but if I hear that ESPN promo of him crying about no one giving them a chance I will have to root for New England

Oh you started some shite by trashing Ray Lewis.
I started a page during last weeks game about being glad that this will be Ray's last game. It went 6 pages of people attacking me and defending RL.
These guys loooove their Ray Lewis. Don't be talking shite about him on this board!

That says much about you and not good.
Two guys(not saints either) died, killed, over nothing and you find Lewis to be a hero over his pursuit to cover it up. You are a pathetic individual.

Too many dumb idiots brainwashed by ESPN-
F*&k Ray Lewis

No, you just think he's guilty because of who he is.

Interesting article from the victims point of view years later. I don't really have a strong opinion in this subject either way, but I do think its a fair question and topic. The amount of people on here that are so adamantly defending him is a little strange to me.. Maybe it's a bunch of his kids in this thread.

Even stranger are the amount of people that automatically believe that because someone is accused of a crime they are guilty.

Wrong. I just followed the trial and know the details of the over-zealous grand-standing prosecutor.
