I love Ball's game. His dad is count city, but he is going to be a very good guard in the NBA. Great talent. He looks like he is just going through the motions half the time out on the floor not even trying hard.

Do not see him get very emotional very often or even exert himself hard.

Would love for him to get pissed and play mean one game this tournament against elite competition. Cincinnati is going to be playing rough and physical. It will nice to see how he takes the physical play.

he's not going to be a bust hes too skilled but i do think / am starting to think he's just overly developed for his age. he has a very very high floor but a relativity low comparable to francchise level talent. ironically enough i came to this conclusion after watching how much his dad made him work. he's about tapped all the potentail that is there.

i grew up with joe johnson and while he played a lot of basketball, he nevver really lived in the gym. he wasn't THAT good a shooter until a few years in the NBA. he had potential but had work to do on his game still. i don't ssee what lonzo can work on to improve his game

also his shooting motion makes the pick and roll a non factor.

His dad is creating a meme. Sales 101.
Millions on the line to be #1 or #2 or #3 pick.
Also
Lots of guys were great before injury

Sam bowie
Livingston

Some were injured in college.
a 6 8 gawky looking genius point forward at Indiana during the height of bobby knight.
Depauls sam Watkins. Aguirre fell on him right before final 4 vs bird. Never played a minute again.

Danny manning.

This little story explains why there is now one and done.

His floor is going to be very high, because of a need not to be a volume dominant shooter to be an effective scorer and general offensive threat.

His court vision is excellent, his athleticism more than merely acceptable, his shot selection is solid, and he doesn't have many of the common foibles that you see that need to be purged from a guard going into the League.

His absolute floor is going to be Ricky Rubio with a serviceable but ugly jump shot-- which is pretty danged nice.

His ceiling is Kidd-like, but with a more developed personal offense much earlier in his career.

This. Because he doesn't need to score to impact a game, it will be very hard for him to be a "bust".

Edit- also, because he isn't a dynamic scorer, his ceiling isn't as high. I view him as a somewhat safer pick.

Ali & the Wrestling heels he imitated.

UFC's McGregor.

Waste of time speculating until Ball hits the court. Not a Science.

the more i think about him the more i would pass. kids with dads that drive them like this generally don't work out because the second that kid is not under the structure of their dad and have their own money and own house and own life they are going to do exactly the opposite of what they have been doing up until then.
