I once dismissed the "rigged" argument as silly talk. Then, 2006 Auburn v. LSU happened.
lots of weird shite has happened in that series.
like really bizarre.
SINCERELY.

I wouldn't say "rigged", but ESPN definitely "controls" or "pushes" the narrative of college football. Not who wins/loses, but who gets pub, gets judged/ranked favorably/unfavorably. But college football is so subjective it naturally lends itself to that problem.
Examples:
1. They won Charles Woodson a Heisman
2. People now believe Manti Te'o and Notre Dame had NOTHING to do with Lennay Kekua
3. The entire "USC is the GREATEST TEAM EVAR" narrative of the 2000s

I believe there have been games that have been rigged. Lakers/Kings Game 6, Lakers/Blazers Game 7, and Neil O'Donnell was definitely bought off in the Super Bowl when he was hitting wide open Cowboys defenders.

the easiest betting fixes could be done in head to head PGA Tour bets...just think, you get a guy on Tour who would really rather go home for the weekend, tells his buddy Vegas "hey bet the house on whoever I'm matched up with" then he proceeds to shoot 82 and miss the cut...that seems very easy to pull off

This is already routinely done in pro tennis.
Also, Italian soccer is as dirty as Olympic boxing.
