CSU and BYU, or maybe ECU would be my choices if I had to choose. I don't like city schools and wouldn't want Memphis, Tulane, Cincy, etc. in the Big 12

quote:that would probably change when they would enter into a P5 conference and it still wouldnt change the fact that the big 12 network would have the cincinnatti and the cleveland market
hey are not the most popular team even in Cincy

I think CSU is making a push to get into the Big XII with BYU. Look at the Rammies stadium project.
If the Big12 wanted to go to 14 to get even with the other P5 conferences. Cincy, CSU, New Mexico and BYU (football only if they won't give up the no Sunday thing) would be good adds.

The others, yes. But no way they add the LOLbos.

Houston might be invited to kiss Tex's ring some day. Huge metropolis. If they win, pay their coach and draw, sure.
Temple is a commuter school. They don't draw flies.
Cincinnati
I could see them being taken into the ACC after a few top end ACC teams are taken by the Big 10/SEC to make 16.

New Mexico brings more than CSU but Denver is a prize the 12 wants back.

Big 12 should add Houston by virtue of the fact that Houston is an SEC town TODAY.

UNM doesn't bring shite. What are you talking about?

UConn makes more sense for the ACC. Good geographic fit and strong basketball tradition. Also brings massive BSPN support to the table.
Not sure why it hasn't happened yet.

UC, U Conn and UCF made millions selling Big East. name.
UC to Big XII makes sense with BYU, Memphis and CSU.
It is all about the $'s from tv.
As long as UC continues to serve beer at all football and hoops game its all good.

They bring more sports and students it's not about just football clown. They also have natural rivalries built in. The Big XII isn't just going to bring in a school for the hell of it without being able to add to other than football, they've proven that.

UNM's rivals are NMSU and UTEP.
And New Mexico basketball minus Steve Alford is irrelevant.

No they have a hate for Tech also they quit playing because Tech tried to big time them in FB
They have built in rivalry in all sports
They have more than basketball and UNM was relevant in basketball before Alford but whatever.
UNM is a better get than CSU due to other sports. But Denver is the prize that big 12 wants back if they go after CSU. If I was Big XII I would take USAFA over CSU.

If the MWC could kick out two teams, they would kick out UNM and Wyo.
Don't know what you're talking about.

Rocky Long or Fran Frashcilla?

Again it isn't about football only get your fricking head around that and you'll get it.
They would have expanded to 12 if it was just football
The Big XII isn't expanding unless they're forced to. When they do they'll go to 14-16.
