What you mean brah? I've played it twice back 3 or 4 yes ago. What's up with the bluffs that I'd be the kiss of death?

I totally agree with you on this plus golf is getting more expensive every year.

Didn't spray anything to hurt the greens. Go back and read my past post on here for explaination. Trust me, they are working on it. I was out there this afternoon. There are kinda rough but are coming back. They were much worse last year at this time so this winter has been much better than last. Give them till the end of may. They will be good again. Just need time.

Many average to below average courses are over $50 green fee. That, along with driving more than 30 minutes along with a 5 hour or longer round is simply not enticing. There needs to be more courses around baton rouge proper and not so far away.

Working on it. Got a brand new top dresser delivered today and got a good bit of sand out on the greens. First step done.

Agreed but Sherwood was perfect location with great greens and a range and it never did well enough but I do understand it was not perfect too.

Yep. Sherwood was ideal because it was close to I-12.

I think sherwoods biggest issue was the fact of how bad the drainage was out there. After a hard rain, it was so wet for days.

IMO, there's too many outdoor activities in louisiana and golf takes a backseat to hunting/fishing and other things for a large portion of weekend golfers

That's not exclusive to Louisiana. Seems you could say the same for most of the South.

I'm mainly referring to a reason why sherwood may have not been as profitable as it could have been. With as much rain as we get here, I think you need better drainage.

False. I will give you that it wasn't much of a range but the hitting area was infinitely better range than LSU, Santa Maria, or Caddyshack.

Lol that was a stretch. But many times Santa Maria has no grass to hit off of. Haven't been there since last summer so I could be dead wrong.

02ish to 05ish was Sherwood's peak imo. I remember during Master's week in 03 or 04 the greens were better than BRCC's and CCL's, and the course was groomed perfectly.
